A reflective shield (the unupped one, it only costs 1) in a firestall with a photon and immolation would mean that the firestaller could bounce the lance off him/herself, since spells are only reflected once.
How often do Fire Lance decks use reflective shields?
If your opponent has a Mirror or Jade Shield your spells will bounce back on you.  If you take one of your own out, you can play the Lances on yourself and reflect them on your opponent.

(Also, 10,000+ thread views.  Lol.  Maybe I should play more...?)

So a specific breed of firestall can probs beat this; Fractal Ruby OTK might be able to take it down. That's the only two decks that are able to win reasonably in PvP that win against this that I can think of.

That's not what I was getting at; I don't think Fire Lance decks carrying reflective shields is something you really have to worry about because it's comparatively rare.

It used to be very common.

Most decks used a Light Mark, 4-6 Upped Sundials, and 1 Mirror Shield.

This has been asked about 3 times already (and I know the thread is 17 pages long), so I'll answer it again anyway:

You need roughly 4 Shards of Gratitude minimum.

If you look back to some of my first screens all I had was 4 SoGs, 2 SoDs, and a Mirror Shield upped.  I played with the rest of it unupped.  You might be able to get away with it all unupped with Purify's or something.  Not sure.  Purify didn't give life gain when I first made the deck so I never tested it.

I should edit the OP and add an unupped version...

Nay...

Unfortunately, I'm currently shackled to my notes, books, laptop, and flashcards 12 hours a day, studying.

Be smart... type your flash cards and get em from other people.  Me and my friends share our notes and stuff for classes making studying take 1/4 as much time.

C'mon I want another anecdote....
