Series: Autocast.
The idea for this series was born out of a desire to counteract denial.  Problem with that is, having to play a card to counter denial is kind of difficult a lot of the time, so I made the Quanta Worm.  Out of that, I decided to make an entire series of what essentially became Trap cards in elements.

Series: Fixer Pillars
Many ideas have come about for multi-element quanta sources.  Problem was, most ideas would either be too limited, or require 66 cards to cover every combination.  I decided to take a different approach, and make a few non-basic pillars that changed what they did based on the situation.  I tried to balance them so they could be better than quantum pillars in the right situation/deck, but worse in others.

Long ago, a group of Elementals were traveling.  They passed by a mountain that had a strange quanta energy emanating from it.  Upon entering the mountain, they found many scattered crystals of different colors that seemed to be the source of this strange quanta.  Try as they did, they could not absorb or use the quanta the way they normally did.  Upon further experimentation, they discovered that if they ran their own quanta through the crystals, they could combine and reshape them as they saw fit.  At first they made powerful weapons. 
And then one of them made life.

In this Element Shifted world, the element of fire exists much the way as it currently does.  However, the nature of the Fire Elementals has changed fairly drastically.  Fire is a very dangerous element, and those that use it must work hard to keep it under control, lest they risk hurting themselves or those they care about.  While for us, playing fire is often about getting as much fire quanta as we can get our hands on, in this world, they are far more careful.  They are calm, and they are reserved.  Fire is not just an element of destruction, it is a finely honed tool of transformation as well.

NOTES:
More meditation.  This skips all draws, including from effects (yours or your opponents)  Basically, on its face, this lets you delay a draw to get a bonus card on the following turn.  However, there are some other niche uses such as preventing deckout, and stopping the current fire shard, which I imagine got shifted to another element in this world (:Light if I was making it)  The life gain bonus is because fire elementals are better at channeling their meditation/thoughts into more strength.  Plus it helps Fire recover from the damage it does to itself.

Here are my various competition entries, most of which did not do very well but I might as well preserve them for posterity.  Note I didn't bother to organize these tables like the rest of the thread. expand if you dare.
Spoiler for Hidden:
Merge quanta is all about controlling your quanta.  To pay the cost, you need a specific amount of quanta (not more) in a specific number of pools (not more, not less).  In the card I am submitting, you need exactly 6 quanta in 3 of your pools, which will then be drained.  A cost of 0 (11)  would be equivalent to free, since you wouldn't need any towers to play it, so it wouldn't drain anything.  Most of the cards would have passive abilities that move around quanta, which would make playing the same card next turn harder, but could make playing a different one easier.  Some of course could be put into decks with other elements to help move quanta around.  While Elements doesn't have a mechanism for making a specific multi-element card, merge quanta can simulate it by forcing you to use a few different elements, but letting you choose which ones.

An emblem is a magical marking that an Elemental puts onto their body that can change the fundamental nature of that Elemental.  They are attuned to a specific element as far as the effects they give. however since they are a part of the Elemental that uses them, they are also dependent on the players mark.  These emblems allow Elementals to channel the powers of other elements into creatures of their preferred element, or they allow one to simply fortify their creatures by better attuning them to their elements.  Spells and permanents can also be given a boost of extra elemental energy.
Notes: Second Life upgraded has a greater chance than unupped.  "Mirror Quanta" would definitely help save space.

Basically, I took away the multiple tails per card thing which made this card more complicated than it should be, and just made it deal 3 damage (original card gave 3 tails of one damage) per stack.  I added a new ability both to make it more interesting and to make up for the nerf of making it a bit easier to get rid of with explosion/pulverizer.

Functions similar to bonewall as far as removal goes.  It's stackable, so playing a second one would let you have 6 tails. The weak Attack | Defense is because you would only be animating one of the tails.   Fractaling or otherwise bouncing an animated tail and then replaying it would only give you one more tail. I have been using the username of russianspy1234 for a long time, it's my go to username for most forums.  Why the 1234?  Well the first time I tried using it, just plain old russianspy was taken, and I decided rather than trying to remember which sites had what numbers, I would just use the numbers all the time, even if the name without the numbers was available.  Because I have been using it for so long, I have had time to think up, or have people tell me, various corruptions of my name.  Russian's Pie is one of my favorites, but unfortunately would not make for a good card.  Making a 12 cost card that was a 3 | 4 would be pretty difficult, so I just stuff with the non numbered part for this submission.  The ability to see hidden information is often hard to gauge.  Some people overestimate it and many underestimate it.  I recently started playing Inistosis, and found myself often wondering whether it would be safe to play the dragon even though I only had 2 shards to get the ball rolling.  I actually replaced two of the hourglasses with precognitions to facilitate my style.  Antimatter is also a problem for a lot of decks that I play, mostly because immolation is one of the few cards that can stop you form healing your opponent more than you damage them per turn.  This card allows you to know what is coming and to play around it.  The dodging of shields by jumping behind the opponent seemed like a fun and flavorful effect to put on a ninja spy, and as my card creations show, I like putting flavorful and not necessarily mechanically useful effects as add ons onto my cards.

In every game, you want to make a deck that is capable of handling multiple situations.  In Elements, that is rather hard to do because your deck space is so limited.  Packing just one purify in case you encounter a poison (or worse a Shard of Sacrifice) deck is not sufficient.  Packing only one mirror shield against a psion deck might work, but it will come at the expense of more generally useful shields.  I have pretty notoriously bad luck, so I made this card to help draws along.  Is your deck a duo and you just aren't drawing your other pillars?  This will help.  Does your opponent have a huge field but only 5 HP, and you are just praying for your lightning?  This will help.  Does the effect rely on the A.I. being smart enough to give you what you need?  Yes it does, that's part of the balance of it all.

Just relying on my frequent bad luck and my avatar was not enough to make this card represent me, and since one of my other submissions for this contest focused ont he first part of my name, I made this card represent the second part.  At 12 cost 3 | 4 would need one heck of a powerful effect though, and even being that powerful, it too easy for it to die, so I went and gave it immaterial.  That helps make it stick around, and helps better represent the character it is based on, couldn't be removed from the duel until it was over, what with it not being a card ability and being magic the duelist was using.

A long time ago, not quite during the time of Pharaohs, I played a game called Yugioh.  When I first started playing Elements, I decided to strive towards a Pharaoh deck.  When I earned the right to make my custom forum avatar, it seemed natural to combine the two things into the art that would represent me.  The ability itself does not quite represent my play style, however I am definitely a big fan of making custom cards with abilities based on chance because I feel that it can be a very useful tool for balancing cards.  Combining my avatar with my love of randomness seems like the way to go to make a card that would represent me in the world of Elements.  In most games I play, I prefer to find combos to make use of seemingly weak cards.  While this Dark Pharaoh seems a bit weak due to being so expensive for an effect that would likely hurt you more than your opponent, it would be a fun challenge to build a deck to mitigate that problem, especially if one were to ignore the obvious synergy with reflective shields.  Whenever I start playing a new game, I am always a little disappointed at how healing effects tend to be so vastly inferior to direct damage effects.  Elements is a little better about this than most games, but still not good enough I feel.  Healing cards truly shine in Arena more than they do when used by the player.  With this card doing such a vast amount of damage, healing becomes much more useful, whether you are using it on your side to mitigate it's effect on you, or just including healing in your deck when facing off against the Pharaoh.

you kinda seem to have a lot of cards, especially a few I just couldn't keep a straight face with... a few were just kinda weird (desperate heretic? srsly? no (nice attempt though)) although a couple srsly made me think twice... mainly its the kindling, barbed shield, the old hag (ONLY BECAUSE the reverse time changing it into a nymph is just seriously something I can't forget...) and the frozen ancient, the idea that it could just disappear, but you'd have some random dragon on your side... just wondering, theres absolutely no bonus on that, on the card or from the notes... is it supposed to release an elite dragon instead?
