I remember there was a time where something bad might happen when people link their account in kong (account got reset or something), but it was LOOOOONG time ago. Not sure/can't remember the details... Anyone knows about this?
Till today I still haven't link my account. Too scared! >_<
To the best of my knowledge, this is not actually a thing. The thing that is a thing is if you create an account through kong (and it's linked to your kong account) and
then you link a new account to kong, you can no longer log on to the old account automatically (because it's not linked anymore because you linked a new account). If you bother to write down the username/password of the first account before linking the second account, you can re-link the first account or just log on to the first account normally.
Sadly if you don't bother to write down the username/password to your first account and then link a second account, you're not going to be able to access the first account (only because you don't know the username/password), so careless people can end up with a
result of what you're talking about.
It probably would be nice to have kong do something like when you link a new account (if you have an old account linked), before having the new link go through it'd pop up a warning reminding you to write down the username/password of the old account before proceeding.
