To clarify a little bit, your elements account isn't on kong. Logging in to elements through kong just logs you in to your elements account automatically. You can log on to elements through either the elements page or kong (assuming you know your elements ign/password) and it'll be the same game and the same account. Additionally, kong and the elements page both point at the same servers and the same games, so you can pvp with people who are connecting via the elements page when you are connected through kong or vice versa.

I believe this is usually the culprit when we have folks come on here to post about "forgotten password" or "lost password" - they linked them and have used the button without typing it in so long they no longer remember...

I remember there was a time where something bad might happen when people link their account in kong (account got reset or something), but it was LOOOOONG time ago. Not sure/can't remember the details... Anyone knows about this?

To the best of my knowledge, this is not actually a thing. The thing that is a thing is if you create an account through kong (and it's linked to your kong account) and then you link a new account to kong, you can no longer log on to the old account automatically (because it's not linked anymore because you linked a new account). If you bother to write down the username/password of the first account before linking the second account, you can re-link the first account or just log on to the first account normally.

Sadly if you don't bother to write down the username/password to your first account and then link a second account, you're not going to be able to access the first account (only because you don't know the username/password), so careless people can end up with a result of what you're talking about.

It probably would be nice to have kong do something like when you link a new account (if you have an old account linked), before having the new link go through it'd pop up a warning reminding you to write down the username/password of the old account before proceeding.

Why cant i upload an avatar, do i have to reach a number of posts to do it or something else? When i go to the forum profile the only thing i can select is no avatar.
