I think I read somewhere that Mulligan is "draw 7 cards, if no 0-cost, leave those cards aside, draw 7 and put the other 7 on the top of the deck", but I cannot find it anywhere and no one is talking about it. Can someone link a post that says so or confirm it here?

I don't think it was ever 'proven', but I first noticed it when I was playing loads of games with VDB (I think it was still shak'ars back then, so with precog, but that doesn't matter) before my hiatus. So I started recording my draws whenever I had a pendulum free starting hand, and it did confirm my suspicions. I think I had approximately 30 games on there (with a pendulumfree starting hand), and not once did I draw a pendulum in the first 7 draws (I did log 2 after that, but usually you die before getting those 7 draws). I never posted those results, and during my break I switched computers 2 times, so those results are lost, but when I returned I was surprised to see that nobody had noticed. So I talked about it in chat, and CG ran a quick test in trainer to confirm, after which it was considered proven (test was 3 pillars in a 30 card deck, vs. 30 pillar deck I think).

If you want your own proof, go take said deck in trainer, and note down the first 7 draws whenever you get a mulligan hand. If you want to speed it up a bit, take lots of cheap cards, include shard of bravery/precognition, and go in with some starting quanta (to both power the shards/precogs and to be able to empty your hand so you can use them).

@Spike, indeed, Zanz doesn't directly say that, but he talked about 14 cards. Unless he was simplifying the situation, he must have been talking about the Mulligan which draws a new hand from the now 23-cards deck.

Running some math, if in 6 games where a mulligan happened and there were no zero-cost cards even after the Mulligan no zero-cost cards appear in the next 7 draws, the probability of that being a coincidence is under 1%, so it must be true. I will try it.

When TD first brought this up, I went and tried maybe 20 games or so in trainer, and in all games where I started with no zero-cost cards (i.e. I could be certain that there had been a mulligan), I did not draw any additional zero-cost cards in the next seven. Hardly a conclusive sample size, but it's more data for the pile.

Mulligan is triggered by a lack of zero cost cards in your starting hand. This includes pillars, pends, unupped novas, upped sundials, photons, upped gemfinders, daggers, etc. There is no check for what kind of zero cost cards are in your hand or not in your hand - only whether there are any zero cost cards of any sort.

I was thinking, how are informations about PvP sent over the network? Why are they so fragile that simply tab-shifting can give you a lot of problems?

The problem with tabbing away is because of Flash. If events on one side between two players goes slower or stops, it makes sense the sent data is no longer like the realtime situation, so we get a desynch of information.

Some Flash games still run perfectly fine if you tab away, but not this one.

I thought that much, but what doesn't fit in my mind is why that happens. Given that it doesn't effectively happen in real time, but data is sent at the end of the turn, I don't see why a part of the package of information gets lost or stuff.

Is a Psion's spell damage enhanced by SoF's? And able to ignore reflective shields? Must the Psion lose it's psion ability to work well with SoF's?

SoFree works with Psion (increases damage), but the damage is still spell damage. Don't think it can ignore Reflectives. Same goes for Momentum: it doesn't change the type of attack Psion does.

Thx for the quick reply. I suppose the ability to lobo would work well with a deck that attempts to use this combo, but not in an arena deck where the AI wouldn't know when to lobo it's own creatures if a reflective shield came up.
