Why cant i upload an avatar, do i have to reach a number of posts to do it or something else? When i go to the forum profile the only thing i can select is no avatar.

When you reach 30 posts, you can choose an avatar from the gallery (which is the pictures on Elements cards, including some old versions).
At 200 posts you can upload your own avatar.

AFAIK, thumbs down (i.e. normal).

To the best of my understanding, a thumbs up is treated as a bonus over "normal", while everything that isn't a thumbs up is "normal".

Thumb down vote differs from 'no vote' only in the return of 5 to the human player.

As long as you have the forum chat up, it doesn't matter

To clarify a little bit, your elements account isn't on kong. Logging in to elements through kong just logs you in to your elements account automatically. You can log on to elements through either the elements page or kong (assuming you know your elements ign/password) and it'll be the same game and the same account. Additionally, kong and the elements page both point at the same servers and the same games, so you can pvp with people who are connecting via the elements page when you are connected through kong or vice versa.

Just to add to this, if you play Elements on Kongregate and don't know your Username and Password for Elements on http://elementsthegame.com, just click on the Account Info button in the top right corner of Elements on Kongregate.

You can see the hp. And while I got cloak up he casted a Siphon Life on me. So I'm pretty sure that it also works with purify

The question is still open for me as I got 2 contradicting answers, but if that's true what Gandora said about the Siphon Life, then I think it is possible to purify a cloaked opponent.

Next question: If a phoenix dies by attacking through a skull shield, does it become an ash or a skeleton or both?

You can purify an opponent who has a cloak, because cloak does not hide the HP.

Phoenix go boom (Skeleton). It's why a protected Skull Buckler against Immorushes is so devastating. Golems have to pray to get to 3 HP, then 5, and so on.
