The Mind Flayer really shouldn't be a problem and it's worth it 99% of the time.

It is better (damage wise) to have 2 more stacks on a forest sceptre though.. In bronze I hardly ever meet annoying abilities I HAVE to remove, only opposing mind flayers, maybe scorpions/nymphs.

I am in the middle of putting together the information for a major update to this study. The OP will be updated in the fairly near future (i.e. whenever I finish putting this together).

Updates will include:
-All valid tests posted in this thread. I am going through the entire thread from start to finish to make sure I'm including every valid test that's been posted both before and after Elbirn retired (just in case anything was missed).
-Splitting results into upped/unupped categories for greater ease of use.
-Potentially (if the community wants) re-sorting results within each category - see this poll.
-Addition of profit/hour (UEI) and special spins/hour information for any valid tests with recorded TTW.

If anyone has any other requests for different things to include/not include/change/etc with the study, please let me know. Also, if you've taken some stats (wins, losses, TTW, EM) at any point since 1.32 came out and just haven't posted them due to the study appearing to have ended, please feel free to post them, and I'll make sure they get into the OP assuming they qualify.

Reminder: To qualify for inclusion in the OP, you must record wins and losses for at least 50 games. These games need not be in one sitting, but you must decide whether you are recording stats for a game before you start the game (not in the middle of a match). TTW is highly encouraged and may become mandatory (if anything besides win rate is chosen as a sort method in the poll linked above). Number of EMs (or EM rate - EMs/Wins) is also highly encouraged, though not strictly mandatory - if you do not post EMs or EM rate, I will assume the EM rate is 0. Additionally, it is greatly appreciated if you link to the deck's thread and mention the deck's author. If you have modified the deck from its original form, please note the change so I can mention it in the OP.

More to come after I've sifted through the last year's worth of testing.

If there are multiple tests for one deck, with some including EM rate and some not, will the EM rate be based on only the ones with it, or will it be counted as 0 for the tests without it?

If there are multiple tests for one deck, with some including EM rate and some not, will the EM rate be based on only the ones with it, or will it be counted as 0 for the tests without it?

EM rate will show the recorded rate, so for a hypothetical split test where 100 wins had no EM rate recorded and 100 wins showed 10 EMs, stats would report "200 wins, 10/100 EMs, EM rate 10%".

So, in other words, only times where EM rate is recorded will count. Assumed EM rate of 0 will not affect split tests, as both the summary and the UEI result will use only the recorded stat. Assumed EM rate of 0 for decks with no information on EM rate will affect UEI results, but I'd rather have a UEI result that doesn't account for EMs (assuming there were unrecorded EMs - I think a lot of the unreported EM decks actually just have no EMs) than just not have a result.

edit: TTW is handled the same way in situations where there are multiple tests where not all tests record TTW.

If 10 people each do a 10-game test of a deck, is it counted?

2. Simple fixes for simple problems.
3. Remember to fill in the holes.

I am only counting tests by a person of 50 games or more, regardless of whether anyone else has tested that specific deck/target. This is how that situation has been handled in this thread in the past (see somewhere around page 10 of this thread where more-or-less this exact thing was discussed).

To clarify, if player A does 50 tests and then later player A does 30 more tests, I'll include the latter 30 because I consider this an 80-game test by player A. If player A does 50 tests and then later player B does 30 more tests, the latter 30 will not be included because player B has not yet done 50 tests. If player B subsequently does 20 more tests, their results will be included as a 50-game test.

If everyone wants this handled differently, I have no problem switching the way things are handled, but I'll personally vote to keep a minimum of 50 games for a test to be included regardless of what other tests already exist, because 50 games aren't really that hard to complete (you don't have to do it in one sitting) and because more data is better than less data. Another piece of rationale last time it was discussed is that this would potentially lead to people tracking their first ten games with a deck before really knowing how to use it, posting a 1-9 record and declaring the deck sucks and not continuing to play it long enough to figure out how it works, thus polluting the stats. Please note that anyone is welcome to post any information they have recorded, whether or not it qualifies to be posted in the OP. Incomplete tests are still useful information, they just don't (yet) meet the standards to be shown in the OP.

I am only counting tests by a person of 50 games or more, regardless of whether anyone else has tested that specific deck/target.

That is a sound policy. I always wondered how good the data could be given that people with different skill levels and playing styles were submitting the results. Having played the deck 50 times at least guarantees that they have tried to learn how to use it. I agree that it is a low bar, but raising it to 100 would exclude a lot of useful data, so 50 seems perfect.

For archival purposes (and in case I screw something up), here is the entire current OP. Update of the OP is currently in progress.

Spoiler for Hidden:
Decks Used Against Arena with Stats 1.32

The following is a compilation of decks used to grind the arena, ordered by arena level and winning percentage. This thread is a continuation of Xenocidius' thread here and is based on the current game version, 1.32. Anyone may submit any deck to this compilation, however, they must include the following:

Number of Games Played (Minimum of 50 games) and against which arena level
Wins
Losses
Elemental Masteries (OPTIONAL)
Average Turns to Win (OPTIONAL)

As well as a link to the deck's thread and the authors profile page. If the deck does not have a thread, encourage the deck author to create one, or acquire the permission of said author to make a thread for them. If you are the deck author, make a thread.

In addition, if you would like to submit stats for any deck already in this archive, please do! The more stats we have on a deck, the more accurate the records will be. However, do ensure that the statistics are as true and complete as possible. Thank you for your support. :)

The OP has been updated.

-All valid tests posted in this thread have been included.
-Unupped/upped are now split, with upped decks being in the second post.
-UEI/SSPH added for any decks which have a reported TTW.
-Some tests which were previously grouped together have been split due to not being identical decks. I welcome any thoughts on whether we should group similar decks together (i.e. if one card is changed, is it the same deck? two cards changed?) but for now I am going with any change being a separate entry.
-Formatting of the OP has been more or less automated, so if any large scale formatting changes wind up becoming necessary, they should be relatively easy to implement.
-As I said, I went through the thread by hand, so it's quite possible I screwed up an author/deck name/deck link or two somewhere in here. If you see something missing/incorrect, please let me know and I'll get it corrected.

Please note that this update has added a few different decks showing strong results with a low number of tests. If you're interested in testing and you don't know what to do, adding additional information to these low-test decks is an extremely good idea. Please feel free to post tests of any decks - the OP should be updated much more frequently going forward.

edit: Also, any decks that don't have a recorded TTW would really like a recorded TTW, so those are also good candidates for another test if you're looking for something to do.

A well-needed update, indeed! Thank you, CG :)

On a sidenote, was Chaos Wyrms not tested? Or was it just considered not a viable deck for Gold? Or..?
