This deck absolutely wrecks AI4. The strategy is complicated, but powerful: Put down an RoL or 2. Once you have 2 Light quanta, put down a Solar Shield and Nightmare the RoL. This clogs up the AI5's hand, preventing him from drawing. The AI4 almost never plays the RoLs on the very next turn, so you get an additional turn wherein the AI4 only draws one card instead of two. Then, when the RoLs do hit the table, they start powering your Solar Shield.
You then proceed to set down some Crusaders and a Vampire Dagger. Sometimes, you Animate and Bless the dagger in order to multiply the Blessings between the Crusaders. Either way, between the Daggers, the Vampiric Crusaders, and the life drain from Nightmare, it's pretty easy to stay alive. You Nightmare again, and the strategy forks -- either you nightmare a Golden Dragon to keep the AI4's hand clogged and keep him only drawing one card for a while, or you Nightmare more RoLs in the hopes of essentially creating a Malignant Cell-type situation on the enemy's board.
Either way, your giant vampiric critters whittle him down and keep your health up at the same time, and the massive pile of RoLs on his side keep him from playing too many creatures and outstripping your healing with his own damage. The two halves of the strategy -- the RoL/Nightmare/Solar Shield and the Crusader/Vamp Dagger/Animate/Blessing -- thus work together very effectively to make sure that you rarely win a game without an Elemental Mastery.
It loses to Dissipation Shield, but almost any other shield can either be powered past or outwaited. It loses to repeatable permanent control, but that's pretty rare in AI4. It loses to an early Otyugh or a Maxwell's Demon at almost any time. But all told, because it's AI4, all of those things are out there, but not massively common. This deck takes strong advantage of the way that AI4 decks are randomized as well as the AI4 drawing rules and AI behavior in general in order to abuse the system as much as possible and bring you 10-15 turn EM victories with remarkable consistency.
Unfortunately, due to the lack of
production in Photons, at the moment the unupped version of this deck is still under heavy construction.
