What happens if the monsters attack goes below zero? If it goes below zero and turns into an "antimatter effect that keeps increasing" this card is overpowering.

It would never go below 0, as creatures with 0 are not affected by shields.

ahh I had this idea first, kinda (my time shield) however I didn't get art for it though

it was thought by people to be overpowered as it reduces damage until nothing remains

Had the same idea on the Kongregate forums as Broken Will, people thought it was kind of overpowered :/

The name for your card sparked an idea...what if it was

Fear Shield:

Attacking creatures have a 15% chance to run from the field. (Reverse Time)

Really you think is overpowered? O.o
in the end it doesn't kill the creature (as fire shield) and it doesn't neutralize their ability
for example an Otyugh or a Forest Spirit with 20 hp will be in play even with the shield and with his ability still intact
(so i don't think is more overpowered than fire shield that instead can actually kill the creatures)

and, creature with high attack requires at least 5-6 rounds (non upgraded) for making them at the same attack power of the lower creatures (and they are still alive and can attack and deals damage after 5-6 round)
fire shield kills them in something like.. 3-5 rounds? (and so they deals lower or equal damage than in my case)

mhm.. your "Reverse Shield" (excuse me if i changed the name, but so i can make difference with this for now :P)
give me the idea of adding to this one something like:

"...Attacking creatures have a 50% chance to get -1/-0 permanently"

(however your idea of reverse time is interesting =) and i think that i will hate it when i'll see more than 1 creature turn back in my deck >.<)

I think it's a bit too powerful. I advise to remove the damage reduction for the upgraded version and just lower the cost (for the upgraded version to clarify) while having the description and effect state it can't lower ATK less than 0.

Now why do I suggest this? Darkness has creatures, a weapon, and a bolt spell that can heal your HP. Your opponent's creatures that eventually do reach 0 ATK will be a dead slot, which is a cumulative advantage to you if they are using a swarming deck.

Removing the damage reduction for the upgraded version and lowering the cost (for the upgraded version) was one of the 2 version i figured when i created the card.

it's now modified.

Significantly more balanced now. ^_^

I have to say, this is more or less Fire Buckler's sister, who instead of punishing enemies directly (reducing HP) and killing them, this has a more passive stance, where most creatures will become pacified over time (the effect of fear) in comparison to the hard hitters (dragons) who'll beat the crap through the shield anyway. Not the best shield against Immortalized creatures (see shriekers, Phase Dragons, and anything with a Quintessence), but it'll still render them useless unless they have an active ability (Fallen Druid + Mutate - Fear Shield's effects = still causing drama with other monsters).

Dusk Mantle, however, is still better (on average?) for damage prevention/reduction, as 50% isn't something to scoff at.

This card resembling a Fire Buckler was partially what I had in mind when I was suggesting those things. I think this is actually better than Dusk Mantle for Monodarkness, due to it's sheer consistency and ability to deal with long, drawn out battles.

Try having some shards out, some Vampires, an Eclipse, a Vampire Stiletto, and Terror Shield in mind. Sounds pretty fun.  :)

to be honest I still think its somewhat OPed, I mean yes it may take slightly longer to "kill" something, but the damage the creature does is reduced already from turn one and the creatures cant be healed. Not to mention, since the creatures arent dead, they will clog up the field. I could imagine that some combination with flood and vamps/shards/steals/puffer fish could be deadly
