Time / Re: Ghost of the Past
« on: January 25, 2011, 01:09:25 am »
Like someone said before I am now hoping for a Ghost of the Present and Future.

As an added bonus reverse timing the Future would turn it into a Present and Present into Past!

Then all we'll need is a card that can forward time. xD

Buff This Card! / Re: Flooding | Inundation
« on: January 25, 2011, 01:06:21 am »
maybe it could hit every square but instead of killing it could do damage. flying and water based creatures excluded.
You mean like what was suggested 1 page ago :P

I think it should hit burrowed and/or immaterial creatures.
That's a good idea, but the issues still exist that the card is still rather underpowered

What if it slowly creeps up on the field to kill everything as in:
(X = flooded area)
First turn played -  X------X
                              -------
                             X------X

Second turn -  XX----XX
                        -------
                      XX----XX

Third - XXXXXXXX
             -------
           XXXXXXX

Fourth - XXXXXXXX
               XX---XX
             XXXXXXX

Fifth- XXXXXXXX
          XXXXXX
         XXXXXXX
Sixth - Field returns to normal

Upgraded can double the initial flood so it could be so it would destroy all non-water, non-neutral creatures (on both sides) by turn 4

Flying, immaterial, water, and cells survive
(Burrowed doesn't)
I really like this idea, it's not too strong since the upkeep alone would prevent you from playing much in the first couple of turns plus it takes a while to get going. I would defiantly use this card if it worked like this.

Over 9000 Over half of them; 14 I think.
I count 13...

Anyway CC is much more likely then PC.

If you do a Mitosis+SoR combo, only 3 quanta will be sort of OP. For a duo deck(ex. Massive Drags+Mitosis+SoR and maybe even overdrive) you can rely on life mark alone for mitosis and use only use gravity towers
Dragons cost a lot to summon in the first place. If you get lucky with towers you might be able to get a Dragon out in turn 2 but then you have to wait till your 4th turn to mitosis which is way too long. By the time you get your first daughter you are dead.

And that was pre nerf.

Getting back at Mono life.

Even at the cost of 3 :life the only time you would use mitosis is after you have already placed all the critters in your hand.

Why pay 3 :life to give the ability to reproduce when you can just play another card in that turn? If you have the extra  :life sure but in the early turns of the life rush you hardly have any quanta to spare. Most of the time you just keep playing critters until you have 1 or 2 quanta left. It's only after you have 3-4+ creatures that you will probably have extra  :life to spare on mitosis but now it costs 5 and hardly makes it worth it.

But the above is just about life rushing, even still I think I have my proven my point.

I'm glad Essence and BluePriest get it.

I was testing my scarab deck for a good hour with a 18% win rate or so. I was even able to beat Rainbow but that was pure luck since he only get his CC out after I had enough to kill him.

Almost everytime of the time it gets beat by CC or lack of healing due to lack of life Quanta.

Even against T50 decks I get outrushed and have lost several times the turn before I might have a chance.

zanz can change the AI
Sure about that?

Scarob-tosis is just an example. I'm not saying it's real.

Just wanted to clear that up. Anyways - I truly believe if Mitosis makes it to the game, it will ruin it completely.
It is easily stopped by any CC targeted at the mother Scarab. Like most decks it takes a while for it to get set up. You need at least 5 scarabs and 2 bonds to keep you alive and that takes several turns to set up.

If you are talking about FG's then yes you can beat one ones that have small critters and don't rush you right away but then again those are the gods that most people have an easier time with anyways.

PVP wise most rush decks will be able to take out the player before the 7th turn(which is usually the critical turn from being in danger to being in complete control).

If you think about it it's a lot like the RoL hope deck in terms or performance.

Most versions of Mitosis makes FGs easy. For instance: Mitosis scarabs. Tons of HP, eats ev erything, gets lots of damage due to it.
Actually even before FG's were not that easy to beat with the mitosis scarab. You need a really good draw to get a good flow of scarabs coming. Don't forget that FG's have tons of control(which makes your first scarab or 2 scapegoats) and any shield pretty much stops scarab damage in it's tracks.

Adding to max HP seems like overkill.

Usually people relied on armor to make a super Oty which relied on a second element. I think it should only heal, that way you can use it armagios or any other high HP creature with gravity pull.

I mean seriously if the opponent has at least 2 critters out an Oty will be big enough to eat anything that isn't Armagio sized because of the increased HP and decreased opponent HP.

Like I said in the other thread I was running a Pharohless scarab swarm deck with this card but with the increased cost pretty much killed it since I needed that extra life for Bonds.

Why can't it just not target flying weapons?

In it's current form only mono life and stall bows can use it well.
