First off, I have to say this is a pretty enjoyable deck and the concept of multiple draws led me to tweak this anti-FG deck.
Code: [Select]
52n 6qq 6qq 6qq 6qq 6qq 6qq 6rn 6rn 6rn 6rn 6u3 6u3 6u3 6u3 6u3 6u3 6u6 6u7 71b 744 74b 74b 77f 77i 7do 7do 7gp 7k0 7q0 7q0 7q5 7q5 7q5 7q5 7q5 7q8 7t8 80h 80h
You'll note that this uses the Entropy Mark and SuperNovas to help with setting up the Electrum Hourglasses (and extra draws) and getting out the key Elite Otyugh+Quintessence combo.

That deck lacks a lot of pillars. 6/40 is not enough.

I built a similar deck using the same idea: http://elementscommunity.org/forum/index.php/topic,11543.0.html
I was not happy with the results though.

Thats why this deck switched to time mark and doesnt use novas. They arent good enough to sustain a fast draw rate, and eternity at the end. The amount of towers this deck has it perfect for doing just that.

Is it even vaguely possible to beat DG with this deck? He has no targetable creatures, so you've got nothing to eat or mutate

DG is pretty much autoquit with this deck
even the 'traditional' control rainbows with FFQ have hard time stalling with bonewalls and without creatures to devoured, you can only rely on protected Fog Shield
and its never good to rely on RNG for survival

I will respectfully disagree -- I added two time towers and 1 gravity tower and with 6 SuperNovas and Entropy Mark, I usually can get a quick startup and be able to use Eternity during the endgame (not accounting for bad draws).  I often end up with 30 time quanta by the time I get to using Eternity.  Moreover, the 2 time towers provide 2 of the 3 needed Time Quanta to use Eternity to rewind.

I've played a couple of hundred games with this variant and it feels about the same for my play style as CCYB and/or CHMD.  What I prefer about this variant is that I can get going a lot quicker (due to the SuperNovas) or decide to quit early if I don't get started fast enough.

With either deck, I have problems with FGs that have lots of early permanent control, like Dream Catcher with an early BE'd Minor Abomination, or Obliterator with an early PA'd Pulveriser.  If I get a good stream of Time Quanta and multiple Electrum Hourglasses in hand, then it becomes a bit easier.

I would agree with this assessment if my variant of the deck did not include the 2 Time Towers.  In actual play, the SNs help get to a quick draw and the 2 Time Towers help sustain the rate and the rewind use of Eternity at the end.

I don't think this variant with the Entropy Mark + SuperNovas has a better/worse win rate the CHMD (I've played a couple hundred games with both decks) but I personally prefer to get to faster draws using SuperNovas.

The only way I beat DG with this deck was with (1) DG had a terrible draw, and (2) I (re)mutated my Otuyghs into something with high damage.

I'd really like to see this deck (original post) or puppy chow's other deck (The-Compeltely-Unoriginal-but-Semi-Original FGBow) updated with those pendulums and scorpions (if needed).

Pendulums have no point in the decks since they're all quantum towers, and the scorpions add nothing to the strategies.

And sorry the God-by-God breakdown is taking so long guys. I've been VERY busy lately; I think I've only been online for about 10 minutes this past week.

It's the same as the good ol' rainbow strategies which is why I love this deck so much.
