Went for quintessence as it's a great effect for any card if it wasn't for the dam shields then it would be even more amazing.

I thought about that but I don't really have all that many aether pillars because lightning only costs two  :aether and the phase shields would cost too much.

This pretty much defines mono-Aether. Immortal creatures. Invincible shields. Copying opponent creatures. Dealing 5 damage for the cheapest price imaginable. And now, with Fractal, spamming Ball Lightnings over and over for a 1 hit KO.
