End of Year Forum Awards 2012
Nominate the best from the past year

Now that 2012 is almost over it is time to nominate your favourite community members, most memorable PvP events, best card ideas, etc.  These awards are about celebrating our Elements Forum achievements over the last year; as a way to say thank you to everyone who has helped to make this community so awesome.  Winners will receive award icons and their names will be written in the pages of Elements history.

This year we have a total of 12 different categories.  You can nominate your favourite candidates for each category by replying to this thread or filling out the Google Docs form.  Remember you do not have to nominate in every category, but take the time to think about the entire year and not just recent memory.

Annele you still have that new member smell so you're eligible.  Council will determine eligibility olfactorly.

New members are ones that joined the community this year.  So if you weren't on SG's forums you're new.  If you were on SG's forums but you joined between Jan - March you're still new.

MEMBERS
Staff Member of the Year - Kuroaitou was a Card Curator, Competition Organizer, Forum Game Organizer, Council Member and Chat Mod in '12.  He ran F&H, Mafia, and was also a WoE monkey.  Lastly he tied for Staff Member of '11 and ultimately got snubbed.  We have a lot of staff members that are really deserving of recognition, but this is a nomination I didn't have to think hard about.

Favorite Community Member - willng3 was another easy nomination.  He's online all the time (literally more than anyone, including mods, and 33% more than the next closest member).  He’s always cordial (outwardly, at least) and helpful to deserving new members.  And he never receives recognition for his time as a Deck Helper.

Favorite New Member – Drake_XIV finally got off his lurking ass and registered in January, and the community has been thankful ever since.

Favorite Competition – Recruit a Friend
PvP Player of the Year – deuce was General of a War winning team, won two Trials and the Master’s Tournament in the process, and a number of Tourneys.

I'd also like to take this opportunity to point and laugh at plastiqe for spelling it "favourite" like some weirdo.
