What is a Competition Organizer?

Competition Organizers are who will run and manage Competitions.

What will the Competition Organizer need to do?

• Coming up with new competitions or resurrecting fan favorites.
• Explaining the rules where needed. If people have questions, we expect you to be able to address them in a mature and timely fashion, and provide any details in regards to rulings and requirements.
• Compiling a vote. Going through the topic to create a final one where the votes will be cast. (This means carefully looking at each participant's entry to ensure that they followed the rules or not, and regulating the poll(s) to ensure that the voting is as fair as possible.)
• Having one competition running at all times. As you can tell, card design is quite a popular type of competition, but we do need a variety of competitions to keep everyone's interest. In addition, we've started to have an increased 'down time' between Competitions, and seek to minimize this period of delay as much as possible.  Having both variety and the time to improve Competition rotation is recommended if you're interested in this job.

• Active on the forums
• Creativity needed in coming up with different tasks

I don't know if it'd tell me, but I'm pretty sure I sent you an application. And I believe a few others may have, too. Since it doesn't show up in my sent items (and I checked when I sent to make sure it was telling me it had gone), I assume it's either full or you deleted it.

While this was probably meant as a joke, something like temporary staff roles might actually be a good idea, especially for the less wanted jobs. : o

Anyway, congratulations to you three guys! Looks like a fun combination of very different people to me, which is a good thing.

I understand there are already one more new CO's then asked for originally, but if we ever need more I would love to be one. I have joined about a month or two months ago but am very known throughout the elements community. I play on kongregate and have been playing elements since the second day it came out as a website. My brother introduced me to the game, he found it the first day out of connivence for a school project. (I can't believe it took him a day to introduce this amazing game to me!) One of my first posts to the forums was a new FG farmer. I know what I am doing and can make competitions based off of long term knowledge of the game. I have read all the traits you busy hard-working council members are looking for and appreciate the link for that. I didn't send this application as a private message because it said "hiring is now closed" but thought I would post my application anyway for future hiring. The longer it takes for the community to need a new competition organizer the longer I will be on the forums, which -should- help my chances to becoming a competition organizer as stated in the link for what the council members look for.
