We need to find some good art. I am tied down with managing the mechanics. If anyone would lead the effort to find card art for these ideas that would be great.

Ambush is a new mechanics that represents the additional damage that superior positioning via maneuverability provides. It is priced to be compatible but not OP with Fractal. (or at least that was the goal)

Mechanic
Type: Passive
Card Text: Ambush: Ambushers deal more damage in groups.
Effect: This creature's current attack increases by 1 for each successful attack dealt to the opponent by a creature with Ambush. These increases last until after the ambusher attacks.

Ambush + Adrenaline
Adrenaline'd creatures endure multiple turns as well as attacks at the end of each turn/attack the Ambush bonus is removed.

Example

Adrenaline'd creatures recheck the number of attacks after each turn (see Steam Machine)
Since Adrenaline'd Ambushers drop to full attack after the first attack they have a normal adrenaline routine based off their full attack with the ambush bonus only applied to the first attack. However this only matters if the ambushing attack is 15 or less allowing a second attack.

So for a 1|1 Adrenaline'd Ambusher

Edit: Something else I just thought about. Flying Owl's Eye| Eagle's Eye would gain ambush automatically, and a Crusader that targets a Flying Owl's Eye| Eagle's Eye also gains ambush.

Names and images updated.

Weapons would not benefit much from Ambush because they would have to rely on another source of ambush to increase (or lots of animate weapon). So ambush could be added to Owl's Eye with little fuss.

Now we need art.

i dont like how aether is only one that has a "bonus" . its immaterial but none of the others have anything special for the most part. unbalanced. i like the concept though.

Aether: Immaterial
Air: Airborne
Darkness: No extra effect (hence cheaper)
Earth: Burrow
Time: Give target Ambush

All have extras except for Darkness. In this case no extra is unique and therefore an extra.

Why do you think it is unbalanced.

Why should ambush be appropriate in all the elements?
If it is appropriate then it should be added. However I do not want to force a card to fit.

Water: It is hard to have greater maneuverability while stuck in the water.
Entropy: How would chaos cause greater maneuverability which is required for ambush?
Death: Same lack of superior maneuverability
Fire: Same lack of superior maneuverability
Life: Wolf fits (I just need to figure out how to make it different from Ninja)
Gravity: Same lack of superior maneuverability

Wolf will be added as soon as I can differentiate it from Ninja.

well.. ambushing in water can be done.. hide in water.. and wait..
fire could be an archer of sorts ?
just off top of my head though.. im just not sure how ppl will go about a series that only uses some of the elements.

The series is designed to display a mechanic. It is not intended for all of these cards to be considered together. Each card is a different way the mechanic could be introduced to the game. People should compare the Ambush series to the Venom series (Pufferfish, Scorpions).

i see, well good luck with it. i do like the mechanic just thought it may have been little imbalanced.
i have a feeling the :time card is little too strong.. id use it and just give everything that ability instead of using the ones that have it already.
