I will say that forcing fully upped decks is prolly a bad idea.  In a war type setting with salvaging, not even people with hundreds of upped cards can possibly play everything.  It should be more like the option of using upped cards.  We can use a certain number of upped cards total or in an element as a filter for the event, but forcing fully upped decks will never work, especially when people need large numbers or upped towers and pendulums that likely few people possess.

Reason why forcing players to use fully upped decks is a good idea, is that if we don't do that, we will have players with 25%-50% upped cards losing to players with fully upped decks. That's not going to be fun for the losing player.

The way I see it, this event is not supposed to be an event where everyone with a handful of upped cards can join. That would be against the whole idea of upped War. I see this is an epic battle between the best of the best, players with tons of experience and tons of upped cards. The more exclusive it is, the more interesting it will be to watch, because it would basically be the highest level of PvP our community has to offer.

i can follow the point, that not every 5-upped-cards account can make a good war here, so there shuld be a restriction!
but a must of upped cards can kill decks with keycards they have to be unupped... k, then you have to play another deck, but i think thats not the right way... perhaps we can make it with a rule, that you must have 100 upped cards or something like that...

Exactly.

There are cards such as phoenix, panda, toadfish, firefly, etc. that are better or preffered in unupgraded form.  Some elements take a pretty nasty hit when when unupped cards are disallowed.

Another thing to look at here is nymphs.  Based on the rest of PvP around here, I will not upgrade my nymphs nor will most of the community.  Forcing 100% upped essentially removes nymphs from this event.

While I 'can' make a fully upped deck from any element, I may not always choose to.

I don't know if I'll be able to participate, but I support this idea wholeheartedly and I certainly would LOVE to be able to participate if this ever happens.  Count me in on Team , of course.

thats the whole point then
when you remove the ability to use unupgraded form, you essentially opening a whole new area in deckbuilding
one can say the same about the reverse situation jmdt but you only see what you wanted to see
if this was fully unupped, you might see people whining that they can only use flying weapon if they somehow include quanta in their deck which makes it a lot weaker...or sundial...same situation
the point here is that by making it strictly upgraded, you need to think about all stats, abilities, bonuses based on upgraded form

rather spouting stuff out of thin air, how about explaining this particular point of yours?
tell me, what elements are heavily nerfed compared to others in their upgraded form?

if this is the intention, then upped cards only is ok! thought its something like ChampionsLeague... but ok, then only upped, much better!  8)
