This is the sort of card that makes elements less unique. Not having a shield that blocks damage is supposed to be a quality of Fire, for example. I don't see the point of this shield really except to make everything more average.

You Sir have a very good point there. Unfortunately this practically comes down to the same thematic fact that shouldn't have life-gain either, but yet it can use SoD and SoG.

Yes, and SoD and SoG are banned from almost every single PvP event that exists for this very reason.

Imagine a card costing 3-other quanta that gives the enemy 2 poison counters. Sure, it's less efficient than Death's version but wouldn't it be bad for game balance to give access to poison to other elements?

Well there's the solution for this problem: just ban this card too from PvP event if it becomes too powerful in that format.

I think the cost is fine now at 5 . It's not cheaper than (and thus doesn't outclass) shields like Improved Dusk, Turtle Shield, etc., but gives a nice alternative for especially Aether, Gravity and Entropy.

Now, to give Other some CC and some PC spell so all elements have everything. These Other cards are seriously taking away from the uniqueness of elements, especially Healing elements (Light, Life). I'm starting to think Other is not beneficial at all for the game.

I think this could cost 4 at max. I think its ok, it would be like a Titanium Shield, but requires a 1500 coins fee. And taking any quanta from your pool is usually not a good thing, because it can take the quanta you would soon need. In fact I dont see it being used even in rainbows. If the rainbow can wait a bit, there are much better shields, like Permafrost. If it cant, or dont produce enough quanta, there is the Fog Shield. Even cost 4, I doubt it will be a common card, but cost 5, why to use?

I think the best thing to do would make it cost 12 That way it wont outclass any other shield in  a mono deck.Ok, so maybe Im overdoing it a bit... but still.
