From Oracle to Octane, no rares or upgraded cards https://elementscommunity.org/forum/index.php?topic=7347.msg80137#msg80137

If you have no rares or upgrades you can use this deck to beat Octane when his name comes up at the Oracle.  The strategy is to deck him out and obtain an Elemental Mastery.

Code: [Select]
4vc 4vc 4vc 4vc 4vc 4vc 4vc 4vc 4vc 4vc 4ve 4vn 4vn 4vn 4vn 4vn 4vn 5bs 5bs 5bs 5bs 5bs 5bs 5bt 5c2 5c2 5c2 5c2 5c2 5c2 5c4 5c4 5c4 5c4 5c4 5c4 5c7 5c7 5c7 5c7
  • Play an Emerald Shield as soon as possible.  This will block out the majority of Octane's damage.  Discard the rest as your hand gets full.
  • Use Antimatter on the flying Eagles.
  • Use Adrenaline on the Antimattered Eagles.
  • If Octane's hand ever has 7 cards when it's your turn, play a creature to use up a Fire Lance in his hand.
  • Use Heals as necessary and when Octane's deck number reaches 1 or 0 to obtain an Elemental Mastery.
  • Upgraded Antimatters, Epinephrines, and towers will make this deck cheaper and faster.  So feel free to switch those in.
As far as the shields, upgraded Jade Shields cost an extra 2 :life, so I wouldn't recommend it unless you have the Emerald Towers first.
And obviously, don't upgrade the Abomination.

Changes:
  • Changed from 2 Horned Frogs to Emerald Dragon and Abomination.  The AI will be more likely to target them with Fire Lance because they have more health.

This is my second post lol.
Anyway, Thanks a lot.
I got a prediction form Orcale today, and it was Octane.
I 've read the volunteer post in the Fg section, and u said u posted something here.
This deck is GREAT.
I just wondered how to deck out FG with 40 cards, but then I realised that they drew multiple cards per turn.
Silly of me to forget it...
Um, besides, can u make some suggestion on a deck with unupgradded rare card?

For this God?

Well you could throw in a Discord or Druidic Staff, but more than likely Octane would destroy it.

Yup, others creatures and permanents will be 'owls-eyed' or explosed.
The original deck is the best.
Thanks again. ^^

PS. Have u done any more deck for other Fakegods? ^^

Not yet. ;)  But of course, many others have.  They will be either under the False God names or in the "Volunteers for FG deck making" topic.

Why would you need to make he use its fire lances?

This is his deck from the Wiki.  He has 2 of each card listed.

The Towers, Unstable Gases, and Explosions will pretty much fly right out of his hand, so you don't have to worry about them "clogging up".

After one Eagle has been played, the other Eagles need Animate Weapon to show up to be played and vice-versa.  So, the luck of the draw may mean there are several of one in the hand and none of the other, and the FGs are limited to 8 cards in a hand, just like everyone else.
Therefore, if several Eagles are in the hand plus the extra Buckler, plus the 4 Fire Lances, then he might only be able to play one card at a time or even have to discard.  This means that he will only draw one card a turn instead of two.  If that happens too many times then the deck count will be higher than yours and you will be the one that decks out and not Octane.

I lost with this actually. His hand filled up with about 2 more cards than me, and instead of bolting my creatures, he simply sniped them. Maybe he didn't have any bolts... maybe make the deck a few cards bigger.

I'm worried it may prevent you from getting an emerald shield in time... Maybe you could add a couple of Pandemoniums and hope they TU his cards?  Or 2 Novas, a Deflagration, and a Reverse Time.

Did he use the Explosions on your pillars?  If not, might have to include a couple of daggers.
