Fire Queen / Re: Oracle : Fire Queen
« on: June 26, 2011, 10:16:38 pm »
I died using the fire bolt deck because I waited too long before I put a shield out. I had ~9 HP left, didn't know she packed bolts. She just bolted me 3 times for the win. :-(

Akebono / Re: Oracle : Akebono

I'm thinking that a standard SG rainbow with quints replaced with Druids might work, since you can just mutate all his creatures, he has basically no CC (unless you count emergency Overdriving, which he won't do unless he has nothing on the field), and Sundial is an effective stall. I played him with a standard rainbow, got a Druid out turn 2, and turned his 12/something Colossal Dragon in to an immaterial 2|2 Deja Vu. It probably wouldn't be as good as the Rewind or anti-vamp decks played there, but still......

General Discussion / Re: Is a rush deck really good enough??
« on: March 04, 2011, 12:25:22 am »
I've actually noticed that it feels like the PVP-1 metagame is moving away from rushes quite a lot. I've noticed that whenever I go strait trawlin' with a mono-Life rush, it just isn't enough. Most AI3s are starting to look like dominator decks too, so I'm starting to feel like I haven't made a good rush deck in ages...

Yet Another Death Dominator
This is a very versitile deck capable of beating a wide variety of situations, while still remaining practical and powerful.

How well this deck does really depends on how many Soul Catchers and self-destructing creatures you can get out.
You could farm AI3 with it, but I prefer to use it on PVP1.
As far as strategy is concerned, don't blow up your viruses unless you gain something from it, don't plague when there's only 1 creature out, and dragons/mummies > boneyards/vultures.
Might take something out and put in more Bonewalls, they tend to save my ass a lot.

Game Suggestions and Feedback / Re: Wording of Voodoo Doll
« on: January 24, 2011, 12:44:52 am »
"damage and effect dealt and done to this creature is also applied to caster"

good enough?
No, because if I bolt my own voodoo doll, YOU take damage!

General Discussion / Re: What is a good win rate in PvP1?
« on: November 08, 2010, 02:32:59 am »
You can make a profit with less than a 50% win rate in PVP1. I've easily made ~80 electrum from a game with 20 risked. Especially if you win dragons. :D

As soon as I finished reading this thread, I won a Grey Nymph.
Not even kidding about that.

Deck updated. It's proven in the battlefield of t50 too...

This is probably one of the most effective AI3 grinders I've ever used, and it's fast enough to grind t50 too, and win against most non-rush decks.
Last change? I took out a Cockatrice and three dragons, and replaced them with a Morning Star and three blessings.
In terms of quanta-per-damage, Morning Star is the only one which even compares to using Rustlers to play Emerald Dragons. Blessing exists to make Rustlers harder to kill; don't play them unless you don't have anything better to do, or you think the enemy is going to try to sh00p your Rustlers.

Obliterator / Re: Oracle : Obliterator
« on: September 27, 2010, 08:03:41 pm »
needs some decks that work well specifcally against Obliterator

best decks
no rares deck

no rares or upped cards deck (Antimatters for Basalt Dragons, Lightning for Elite Shriekers)
Code: [Select]
4vc 4vc 4vc 4vc 4vc 4vc 4vc 4vc 4vc 4vc 4vc 4vc 4vn 4vn 4vn 4vn 4vn 4vn 61o 61o 61o 61o 61o 61o 61o 61o 61o 61o 61q 61q 61q 61q 61q 61q 61v 61v 61v 61v 61v 61v
I tried it... it didn't work. I just had way too many pillars and not enough Antimatter. I would suggest taking out some of the pillars and maybe even Dragons or Lightnings. Mind you, I was close. Close enough that I can undertand how this deck would work in most situations.

PvP Tournaments / Re: Post your tournament ideas here
« on: September 26, 2010, 07:21:19 pm »
This is my favorite idea I've had-
A player may not use the same card twice throughout the entire tournament.

Here's another idea, not as good.
Every deck must use 6 Luciferine.

I think that Luciferine is a very interesting game mechanic, but also one of the least effective strategies in the game. I would love to see an effective luciferine deck come out of this.

I like the idea of the suicide deck competition, but I would make this deck, and it would win every single time-

Mark of Light
Precognition*6
Golden Hourglass*6
Sundial*6
Time Pillar*12
