This project needs more activity. We need to lower our standards during the nomination stage (posting candidates) but keep our high standards during the voting stage.

• Aether lacks a response to Shield based defense like Hope or Dimensional shield other than copying the same tactic.

Pro: The Psionist would allow Aether to evade shield based defenses in exchange for being vulnerable to target based defenses. It was balanced using Charger as a model so I have high confidence in its balance.
Con: Immortal is often seen (reasonably so) as subpar to Phase Dragon. Psionist might further marginalize Immortal. Depending on the severity this might create a new problem. I have posted this in the thread.

For Champions of Expansion:

Expansion 1) "Swift": Play Unstable Shapeshifter. Protect US through playing a harmless creature. Next Turn play a creature with a valuable skill and US will use the skill the same turn.
Expansion 2) "Status": Unstable Shapeshifter rewrites all variables when it copies except for statuses. Thus it can stack statuses. This is not a major expansion at this point but it would be an expansion if statuses existed that would have interesting relations.
Cons: I do not know if it is balanced. I am not suggesting it is unbalanced. I am merely stating my ignorance.

I was thinking about locking this project (it isn't really going anywhere, is it?) or maybe converting it into a sort of "Idea Factory Boutique": a place where everybody can list all their favourite card ideas (obviously from other people) and explain why they think those are good ideas.

that idea is much more practical, highlighting cards for the community to see.  i would suggest spreading the ideas throughout level 0, 1 and 2 (including archives), rather than level 3 or 4 (which already stand out and get plenty of views, and you can just as easily sing their praises in those particular threads)

i think a shield specializing in non-physical damage is a very good idea *without being a flat out spell reflect shield
