wicked... i would definitely use it. death needs some way of killing its own creatures. but the ability should have a cost. maybe some/a darkness quanta. it fits the idea of darkness as well as death

this is really much except to get past shields easier and for vampire dagger

Also it eliminates the vulnerability to creature control, replacing it with a vulnerability to the less common permanent control.

2 problems.
1)It doesnt copy abilities.
2)It says clearly that yo can only use one creature per a weapon, so you cant buff 1 weapon infinitly

SS only said 1 monster, no more. not to mention SS never said anything about it copying abilities.

Nice idea, but I asked you a question about it in the chat and i don't remember that you had answered:
Remains the 'charge' when the weapons flys or does the weapon lose it like PA?

Another question is, what happens when I play a second Soulsteel for the same weapon:
Will the old remain or removed or will the stronger boost activated?

Probably will keep the boost when flown.  Any new Soulsteels will override the first
