Reid4891's Top Ten Platinum Decks https://elementscommunity.org/forum/index.php?topic=43867.msg1005030#msg1005030
« on: October 04, 2012, 01:41:50 pm »
Hello all. This is a thread that I opened in order to record all my best Platinum Decks (basically all the ones which made it in the Top Ten positions). All my decks are original, or at least I never copied/pasted them and tried to put in enough variations from decks I saw, that's what I hope. Feel free to drop your comments, opinions, suggestions, rantings for having lost or bragging for having beat them . :)

1.31

  • Arsenic Sacrifice :water, 1st place  (26 Sep '12 - 4 Oct '12)
    Spoiler for Hidden:
    Best Recorded Ranking: 1
    Best Recorded Rating: 407
Best Recorded Ratio: 46/3 (20 thumbs up)
    Total :electrum : 1517.
    Killed on day 8.

Comments: I tried to make a deck with an overwhelming poison factor, so this deck can deal poison damage from spells (deadly poison), creature attacks (animate weapon + arsenic), creature skills (physalia) and weapons (arsenic) and it does it fast since all this cards cost no more than  :death  :death. Also it's pretty much impossible to stall all of those sources of damages and there is purify to counter enemy's SoSac. It worked quite well in the end and I'm proud that thanks to it not only I entered the Top Ten, but also make it to first place.
  • Recluse Mummies  :death, 10th place (4 Oct '12 - 12 Oct '12)
    Spoiler for Hidden:
    Best Recorded Ranking: 10
    Best Recorded Rating: 275
Best Recorded Ratio: 64/6 (30 thumbs up)
    Total :electrum : 1212.
    Killed on day 8.

Comments: Not a very original deck, I try to make a semi-decent rush deck with SoSac; I didn't really expect it to show up in the top 10, I think I've been very lucky with this.
  • Unstable Freedom   :air, 8th place (23 Nov '12 - 1 Dec '12)
    Spoiler for Hidden:
    Best Recorded Ranking: 8
    Best Recorded Rating: 321
Best Recorded Ratio: 48/7 (20 thumbs up)
    Total :electrum : 1056.
    Killed on day 8.

Comments: I tried to make a mono  :air deck centered on the Air Nymph. SoF and Unstable Gas are the key cards to keep doing damage.
  • SoSeSoFoBow  :entropy, 5th place  (4 Gen '13 - 12 Gen '13)
    Spoiler for Hidden:
    Best Recorded Ranking: 5
    Best Recorded Rating: 268
Best Recorded Ratio: 77/8 (23 thumbs up)
    Total :electrum : 1200.
    Killed on day 8.

Comments: The image deck doesn't have 6 SoSe and 4 Sofo because when I took the picture 1.32 was already out and the shards changed, so that's why there are only 25 cards in the picture. Nothing much to say, a typical SoSe Bow with many SoFo and some creatures that I thought were appropriate. Despite being typical it did its job fine.

1.32

  • Wisdom of the Water :water, 1st place  (19 Feb '13 - 26 Feb '13)
    Spoiler for Hidden:
    Best Recorded Ranking: 1
    Best Recorded Rating: 406
    Best Recorded Ratio: 66/2
    Total :electrum : 2376.
    Killed on day 8.

Comments: I've been very surprised by how well this deck performed, even making to the top position against well made decks. I just tried the best synergy I could think of with  :water and  :aether, trying to find a balance between aggro (Thunderbolts), stalling (Ulitharid, Purify) and rushing (Dragons). I can say that it worked. It managed to get in the 2nd place very soon, so becoming my most remunerative deck.
  • Black Denial  :darkness, 7th place  (06 Mar '13 - 13 Mar '13)
    Spoiler for Hidden:
    Best Recorded Ranking: 7
    Best Recorded Rating: 218
    Best Recorded Ratio: 41/1
    Total :electrum : 1140.
    Killed on day 8.

Comments: I know, this is less original deck I've ever made. I was just curious since there were so many mono  :darkness always in the top spot, so I wanted to try one. There are definitely better ones, but that's what I come up with. Nothing special to say about it.

A fourth deck made it during the transition between 1.31 and 1.32. Now working with new shards! :P

Deck 4 of 1.31 is broken.
Well, they don't look too creative to be honest, but then again, a creative deck on rank 1 plat is probably close to impossible. :-)
The only one for 1.32 so far I quite like though. Haven't seen that Water splash so far.

It's not "broken". I wrote in the comment section that when I took the screenshot 1.32 was already out so the old shards weren't visualized anymore and the deck was displayed like that. There was pretty much nothing I could do about it (beside photoshopping lol but I'm not capable), beside saying as I did in the comments that "The image deck doesn't have 6 SoSe and 4 Sofo because when I took the picture 1.32 was already out and the shards changed, so that's why there are only 25 cards in the picture". Anyway that deck can't work anymore in 1.32. :)

I agree about creativity, but what can I say? Given the limited amount of cards and combo, it's not like one can pull something never seen or thought, especially in 1.31 which was out for a long time since I started making this thread. At least I can say that I didn't copy/paste other people's decks. Glad you liked my last deck, it didn't get much love with thumbs up honestly :( .

Looks like your last deck can be made with Lightning, Purify, and Aether Tower as Oracle cards while still keeping the same structure for the most part :D
