QUANTUM MECHANICS
A Series of Card Ideas for Quanta Production
Series Objective
- A range of cards to bridge the quanta production gap between Mono type and Rainbow type decks. The Cards will work in a generic sense to balance the whole field. They will add access to function for Monotype decks and reliabilty to Rainbow type decks, albiet at a reduction to that deck types strongest function, reliable quanta and card speciality respectively. The biggest gain will be for two to four element deck types. Each card should have a unique mechanic if possible to show the variety of possible applications and directions quanta management can go in. All cards are usable independantly and are balanced in the current environment with only itself.



Section 1 - Generic Quanta Reliability
These card ideas are for the General market. They will fit into any deck as a trade off between normal pillar structures and dependence on draw for a new alternate structure that will give reliability but at a disablity that needs to be addressed or ignored by the Deck.

Section 2 - All Around Quanta Fixing
These cards are designed to fix the quanta in your deck in the small part. They will be dependant on draw to present their effect but allow the user to 'Splash' in an outside element. In general there is no requirement to their use in the deck.


Section 3 - Artifact Quanta Combinations
These cards are Artifacts unique to the Element in which they are presented and give the user a source of alternate quanta for combining in other element cards or triggering activators on in element cards. These cards will be driven by theme over the need for a particular quanta.

X means it has a good or guaranteed chance to produce this quanta for you.

I can see how you're adding abilities that take advantage of Elements being a virtual card game. But, I don't really like most of the Quantum Mechanics that have chances to produce certain quanta. If I wanted to throw a dice, I would throw a dice, you know? I don't want to depend on chances to produce quanta I need to use multiple elements outside the use of Supernovas and Quantum Towers. It may just be personal preference, but I see the implementation of cards with chances of production is better suited for creature or permanent cards on the field.

On the other hand, I really like your ideas that deal with consistent quanta production like Harmonic Pillar and Spectral Prism (my favorite by far) for example. It would be great to see more of those kinds of effects, keep up the good work.  :)

If I can ask one thing, how come this hasn't been moved into the 'Series' section yet? Considering that you consolidated almost every single idea that you've made from the 'quanta generation' series...

Its moved in and out twice. Sg said temporary when she pulled it out last time. I'm in no rush to put it there until I have at least the artifacts section in a state I'm happy with.

We need to make a "Series Template" first. Kind of like we have a card template right now. This way all the series threads will have an uniform look.

When this thread has been remade using that upcoming template, it (and others) will be moved.

Looks like my first 3 candidates failed to draw the votes.
Regardless of being Mathematically and logically viable they just weren't popular.

Tell me what do you want.
What was wrong with the ideas?
Do you want it cheaper?
Do you want it more focused?
Do you just not care for multi element decks?

Well, I didn't vote for them because... I didn't see the point.

Harmonic tower is way overpowered, it's basically two towers for the price of one.
Your rushes are all over the map.  Entropic rush is way overpowered, and the scion of light is underpowered.
Spectral reflector is overpowered, but a lot of those cards that produce seven different kinds of quanta are the opposite.

Here are the cards in your series I may have considered voting for:
Atomspheric Flash.
Cavern, minus the flooding mechanic.
Brazier, minus the emberspark mechanic.

I mean think, what decks would you use these cards in!?  I've only ever seen one five element deck in existence, most stop at two, but you're making a quanta source that gives seven quanta!  Let's just go with your weather card.  It gives: :water :light :air :darkness :aether
Water and darkness have no synergy, and neither do darkness and air.  So what deck would you use that card in?  A fractal RoL+Devourer+shockwave-freeze deck?  You need to have a deck in mind when you make the card.

Try something like this:
 :water :water :water Dehydrate
Whenever you play a water card, you gain some fire quanta.

There.  That will go great with steam machine.  That card has a chance of being used.   Weather?  Not so much.

So to answer your question:
I would like them to be more focused.
I do not card for decks with more than two elements.

The 3 cards I was talking about were

Albiet Death toll was only 6 votes short of the leader and tied for last in that poll.
