Third upgrade (redesign) - Alt art, shinys

Ok, once we upgraded most of our cards in the game... now what?
This has been suggested by someone else in another topic, but this is different

I propose that there should be a additional upgrade option for cards... but theres a twist!

The upgrade will only cost 1000 electrum
The cards will have the same stats as the upgraded version
90% different border/shiny name
7%   Holo/shiny art
3%   Alt art

This could replace the current metamorphosis button
Possible for normal versions of the cards as well

This way we will never run out of things to do

I came to this thread, expecting to tear someone apart for thinking about the third upgrade to card stats and such, but then I was pleasently surprised. I like that idea

Awesome! I say that this shouldn't be called the Third Upgrade, though. It should be called a "Redesign" or something. You pay 1000 electrum to "Redesign" a card, and you can do it as many times as you like.

^^ the thing is, I would be even happy if the alt. art was the exact same art ran though a photoshop filter, as long it's something that stands out and to be proud of.

Ive suggested this before, but I think it should be more for the collectors...everyone is complaining about rare farms, why not make rares a little more available to new players (since older players already have them), and make these 'new rares' only available through slots or oracle. Just like foils for other CCGs, IMO they should be more rare than just paying money to upgrade. It also gives something for 'collectors' to do, while still giving access to all the cards to all players. I love the idea, though

honestly id rather save my money for upgrading new decks.

There are so many decks you could make id never waste 30-60k to change a decks image, id rather upgrade another one.

As TheMadEvil said, this is more of a collectors option as opposed to a "useful" upgrade. It's meant to give you a sense of pride as you play a oty with custom artwork and make your opponent go "omg i needz that". So this is more of a goldsink for players like jmizzle7 that already have every upped crd in game and want something special.

Just like foils for other CCGs, IMO they should be more rare than just paying money to upgrade.

It's only a small chance to actually win alt art, everything thing else are just minor differences

I would do this in a heartbeat. Seriously. I'm pretty sure I even suggested this before somewhere, but this is a nice take on the foil concept too. +1 karma, mon frere.

On a sidenote, I'd also give a TON of electrum for one nymph...

The idea is AWASTE and really just a thing for those players with hueg moneybags... oh well.

I like the idea ties in well with a few other things kicking around and would show off someones grinding ability (although not much else)

Personally I would like to pay 10000 for a deck upgrade making all cards in that deck shiny etc now that we can save decks.
