Pillars to help mono/duo https://elementscommunity.org/forum/index.php?topic=3079.msg26167#msg26167

I posted this in General but i think it needs to belong here.

I made it as a Poll too if you don't want to comment.

People are saying Rainbow are over powered and mono decks are hard.
Rather then looking at more cards for the each element what about looking at different pillars/Towers?

My Idea:

Mark pillars = 2 elements (maybe 3) Per Turn
Duo Pillar (new) = 2 elements (maybe in upgrade cards pick 2 pillars and link them together) Per Turn
Quantim pillars = 3 random elements Per Turn

which will make
Mono deck = Fast
Duo deck = mid
Rainbow deck = slow

comments welcome.

Where would duo pillars be in the bazaar, and how would they work?

Quantum Pillars are already 3 elements per turn :)

Then there is too much coding to add to make duo pillars because they would all stack oddly and it just wouldn't work very well. Besides, this doesn't fully make a deck too much strong, just a bit faster.

I don't understand how u say they would stack oddly? it would be the same as every other card.

Coding wouldn't be that hard either as you just call the same code for the 2 pillars rather then 1. Plus i didn't say they will make them stronger but faster.

Duo's can sit in the general tab or have it showing in both?

maybe you can't buy duo pillars and u got to make/upgrade pillars to get them.

There are twelve different elements, so there are 12C2 (or 66) different combinations of two of the twelve elements for the Duo Pillars.

This means that Zanz and/or Chriskang will have to code sixty-six different cards, which means that updates will be much slower and we won't be seeing other new cards any time soon.

Then how about just making mono pillars produce 2Q/turn instead of 1?

I have been playing this game nearly since the beginning.  I have NEVER had a rainbow deck, because I like being different.  But the temptation is there.  I know that rainbows dominate, and it's because getting 3Q/pillar/turn is just too much.

When I have only 2-3 elements in my deck, and I still think I would be better off with quantum towers, I have to recognize that they are overpowered.

i like the idea of pillars creating 2 quantum instead of 1 per round ... even though i see burn decks becoming more powerful^^

...

well
come to think of it, if the damage is done for each 15 or 20 quantums the doublepillars are no problem

Agreed with the idea of 2Q instead of 1 for mono-colored pillars; if nothing else, this would allow mono/duo decks to run a few less pillars and more "business" cards, so they're more likely to get helpful cards off the top of the deck and less likely to get pillar-flooded.

Hm...

You don't need to change or modify them.

Just create new pillars that (when upgraded) that add a Q of one color when it's played and add a Q of a different color (of the same type) every turn; no extra quantums, just color fixing.

But... that would make 66 new pillars to get all the 2 color combinations (if my math's right).

Maybe it should add a color of your Mark when it's played and give a Q of a different color every turn.  There would only need to be 12 new pillars.

Of course... they would be identical to normal pillars when not upgraded... so what if they're just available for purchase in the Bazaar for 1500?  No upgrading.
