wow...  im deciding where to put which decks for the pawns.  I cant believe how many times i have asked myself this one question within the last hour: "which pawn is the one i need the most?"

EDIT:  im... finally... done.  never before have i made so many decks with card restrictions.  I tell you: this will definitely be a truly EPIC event.

one more question:  If your pawn is attacked by a pawn, your pawn wins the duel.  does your pawn go to where the other pawn was, or does it stay where it is?  in my opinion, there should be a reward for winning a duel that you didn't start.  maybe 1 extra turn that you can choose to use or not?  I realize it can't really be changed now...  just for future reference.

Nope. I believe it would encourage turtling. Having your piece still alive should be a good enouugh reward by itself. :)

Man this event looks amazing!!! I wonder what an actual (no offense) chess tournament would look like. Maybe that could be organized. Too bad i'm preoccupied with draft and don't have the cards, otherwise I would join. I'll see if i can get my friend to though.

As an avid chess player, I believe that the Vultures and Pegasi should swap places.

Just as well there aren't any immediate Queens; they would be - to use Elements jargon - OP :P

So no Nymphs/Marks for rewards?

I noticed the thing about the Vultures and Pegasi as well, but they are better where they are. The vultures need to be on light squares in order to attack the hourglasses.
Nymphs/Marks are for Tournaments and Leagues. PvP Events don't have code prizes, since they are harder to give out than forum icons.
Somehow still around, somewhat

Ah yes, I see. It's interesting how Vultures are entirely confined to light squares, unlike in real chess.

So will only unupped cards be allowed for non-promoted pieces? *crosses fingers*

With only them being on light squares, the amount of actual chess strategy plummets dramatically.
