It might be just a small peeve of mine, but on the card images could you put "Art by www.sxc.hu" and "Art by www.fotonostra.com" for the unupgraded and upgraded respectively?

When I see "Art by Hyroen" I assume Hyroen made the art. It is easily misleading. I wouldn't quite say editing an image would make it yours.
Merely following the guidelines found in the OP here (http://elementscommunity.org/forum/index.php/topic,5039.0.html).
When filling out the table make sure you Credit the Artwork.

- If the artwork was created by you or is an artwork generated from royalty free image to create something unique by you then put your name in the Table and on the card Image. You can claim the artist credit.

- If the artwork is royalty free and/or public domain then no credit is required on the card image, but in the table put a link to the source.

- If the artwork copyrighted, ask the artist a permission to use the image! The card image should include the artist name, and the table should have both the artist name and a link to the source location.

Why do we need links? Because if you like the art for the game, Zanz might like the art also. A link makes it easy for him to track down an artist and request work or find free images if available so that he can use them in the game. Also its respect to the artist. They take the time to create art that we enjoy and if we expect them to share their work in any public form we should acknowledge their efforts.
I understand it can be frustrating coming from someone who creates the original art (something which I've done already a couple of times for my own cards), but I don't think you realize the amount of effort and time it can take to get a picture just right. The aim with the vast majority of my images is to adjust live photographs so they suit a card game more. I also have a scanner, and I'm quite skilled with a pen or a pencil, but I prefer to go this route at the moment. I suppose I could try with my own photographs, but (a) I'm not a very skilled photographer; and (b) Anacondas are rare on the east coast of Canada right now. I'm not going to make a card that isn't pretty either, and live photography just doesn't do it. It's a hobby of mine that I enjoy even with my own personal photographs. I am always sure to list licenses and give credit where credit as due, links are always thoroughly checked, and in some cases I've even notified the original artist, if the need arises. In the case of Righteous Zealot (http://elementscommunity.org/forum/index.php/topic,19435.msg263649#msg263649), I have cited the original art.

By no means am I trying to give you any excuses, but I'd prefer to see "Original Art by Hyroen" on your cards. I think everyone wins that way :D

Aside, for the Image Licence for Anaconda, it's lovely that it's there but as it's completely in Spanish I imagine it won't do any good for a majority of the people that follow the link.
Mind translating it?
My Spanish is a bit subpar, as it's a learned language. I was kind of hoping someone who spoke Spanish better than I would volunteer their services, but as per Google Translator (http://translate.google.ca/translate?hl=en&sl=es&u=http://www.fotonostra.com/recursos.htm&ei=mglPTYOPKoL-8AaHm9zUDg&sa=X&oi=translate&ct=result&resnum=1&ved=0CB4Q7gEwAA&prev=/search%3Fq%3Dhttp://www.fotonostra.com/recursos.htm%26hl%3Den%26safe%3Doff%26client%3Dfirefox-a%26hs%3D9NC%26rls%3Dorg.mozilla:en-US:official%26prmd%3Divns):

I hope that satisfies. I'm not looking for fights, I just enjoy what I do. If there are any further issues just let me know and I'd be happy to help as I can.

Well if it agrees with ScaredGirl's rules then I have no qualms about it, I've been following my methods and would not change them.

If I edit art which was not originally made by me, it's not mine, nor would I claim it to be. There's too much grey area in terms of art editing for me to classify what's unique and what's not. I could change the overall hue of a picture and claim it mine for what those guidelines read.

I don't know. Personal preference perhaps. Anyways, carry on.

Given time I will try to translate the link in Spanish, as I speak it nearly everyday with my family.

And I don't think anyone actively looks for fights. I respect you very much as a Card Creator, Werdbooty. But somethings just looked off for me, and don't take it personally. I'm sure I can find this issue on many other card ideas but I just happened to be looking at yours. Take it as a compliment, I'd only worry about a card if I thought it held promise.

Sorry if I sounded offensive or challenging. It was not my intention. ^_^

Oh no worries.

EDIT (late night talks): I was discussing this with my girlfriend and she came to your defense, Hyroen! She pointed out to me that it doesn't really matter in the end, as no cards in the game have an art credit (as long as no laws or rights are violated). True, I put quite a bit of effort into my images but they aren't truly my own (I never claimed they were). On the other hand, she also pointed out that merely pasting "Art by sxc.hu" is no better, for the same reasons.

End result: tables will remain as is, credits will still be linked, and I'll just avoid putting my name on the card in the future. I apologize if I made out like I was hogging the glory ;)

Lol. Tell your girlfriend I say thank you. Aside was that her and you in the photos that were there before? If so, they were cute photos.

Aside, while true that putting art by www.sxc.hu doesn't help a lot, it does help to at least target where the original art can be found.

In one of my cards HERE (http://elementscommunity.org/forum/index.php/topic,20798.0.html) you'll see the format I usually use when it comes to crediting art and so on and so forth. I can't save my own life if it came down to drawing and as such I normally borrow that of other people and let pixlr's editor work some magic.

I won't say the format is perfect but I think it's on the path to it.

Just for discussion's sake...

Shouldn't the credit on Fissure then go to Darkspiral, the original art contributor? That's what I did with my Dread | Fear (http://elementscommunity.org/forum/index.php/topic,20739.0.html). If I ever feel I haven't altered an image enough I prefer to credit the original contributor, rather than the website where the picture was found. I mean, ideally, shouldn't we see "Art by Spore Creature Creator" on half the cards? A subtle tweak is proposed, then: "Art from www.sxc.hu." It'd actually be kind of neat if direct links to any outside image sources could be implemented on the cards themselves, seeing as most stock websites ask for at least some sort of acknowledgement. Just a thought.

As for the pictures I had posted earlier, yes, that was us. Ain't we adorable? However, my girlfriend seems to have more discretion than I when it comes to most things (as you must be able to tell already). She'd prefer if her face was not displayed to my "legions of adoring fans," as she so eloquently put it. I trust her judgment more than my own, and you and her seem to be in the same vein, so I guess that's plus karma for you, if only for stimulating my brain. :D

Fissure is a great card, btw. I've been trying to find something I can comment about, but the card looked fine to me, even with the original upkeep costs for Airborne creatures.

It's a good point you bring up. I will credit darkspiral and from now on I will credit the owner of the art on the card for the ideas which are submitted to the Crucible. I will even leave a little message there saying where the art was used.

Btw, thanks for the Karma. It's funny because I receive it out of the blue and it makes me smile wondering where I got it from. I really appreciate it!!

Karma reason: for scintillating discussion :)

I also saw your comment on the Fissure's image source. I think I'll start doing that myself.

Just saying... the new warden essentially has this ability.

Maybe you could just call the ability guard, like the warden?

Essentially, but not quite. Constrict can affect airborne creatures, and doesn't deal damage. However, in light of guard, this card's ability now seems a bit underpowered to me. Shoot.

Anaconda text says: target creature and RIVER PYTHON does not attack for 1 turn
might want to chage it into ANACONDA
