When a land (non-airborne) creature is summoned on that side of the field it cannot land there, it is played on the next available area. Airborne creatures may be summoned there but require 1 | 2 per turn to survive. WANT TO HELP? I'm also in the process of creating an icon to be placed on the target creature zone. This way players will know that a land creature cannot be there. It will literally look like a crack in the ground. In a sense. This has been one of the ideas that I've had for a long time, just it never really came out properly.

Yes, it has intended synergy with Flooding | Inundation.

So you target slot 1 and they must sacrifice a creature card each time they want to play creatures? (assuming a landbound deck)

I am worried that it might be too strong of a card denial right now. However the Earth/Flooding synergy is great.

@OldTrees: If someone plays a land creature it cannot be summoned in the area where you selected. It'll just shift over to the next available spot.

But what if you have no air quanta, does the airborne creature die, or move to an empty slot?  If it dies, I'd say this is OP'd.  There are too many airborne creatures without air quanta supporting them.

oh also maybe soon I'll make an icon.  How big in pixels?  Is it supposed to be the size of say the momentum icon or larger?

I think that one slot is somewhat underwhelming, especially with the shifting. I would either make it a few slots, or somehow incorporate it into a permanent.

Aside, I just realized that this has pretty cool synergy with Wings.
@EvaRia: Wow that is similar. I remember posting this idea a very long time ago. I understand if you wouldn't remember though EvaRia, it was before you registered. It was something very damn similar to this card that I wrote in a Google Docs word document. Actually it was so long ago that I'm sure not many people here can even remember it. Icybraker might recall.

This is how it read:

Split Ground \ Fissure
Spell, 5 \ 4
When this card is played, a targetable creature of less than 5 HP is selected. This creature is destroyed and the field position on which the card was, is rendered unusable and no creature can exist on that field position again.

Clearly my notions of how strong a card can be were a little skewed. As long as you guys like this new card, I'm happy.

Aside, would you guys think it's ready for the crucible?

You might want to make it clearer in the notes about whether a landbound creature can be summon and dies in the slot or if it will be summoned in the next slot.

For a symbol to be placed on the slot, it could just be that card image made slightly translucent. Similar to freeze in how it covers most of the slot.

Alternatively, it can be just a faded symbol with a crack down the middle for simplicity.

I'll see if I can make something similar to these today.
