Perhaps do it tournament style with 4 pools, then the top three per pool go to finals. That would be somewhat more manageable, methinks.
Actually RedWarrior0, that would actually make it
less manageable, because then you'd have to deal with 4 separate polls with (supposedly) 11 options each. This would clutter up the board, and it also brings up several questions after that. How would you group up the shards (alphabetically? by type? by mechanic? etc.)? What would happen if more than 3 of each of those polls had the highest votes (i.e. - there were several ties)? Finally, how would get around 'voting' exploits/trading?*
* = Example:
Member A: *psssst* Hey, Member B, your shard isn't in my poll, so can you vote for my idea? I'll vote for yours!
Member B: Sure! *votes for Member A's shard, and gets a vote for his shard idea in his poll from Member A*
Member C:
With all of the shards laid out in one poll, competition is equal amongst all shards. It does become somewhat harder to choose your favorites, but at the same time, it also ensures that your votes truly do count and are unbiased (excluding your own shard) for the top ten.
