I like these. When War is done, I want to start making card ideas, and one thing I wanted to do was a pillar series to improve deckbuilding possibilities. (mine was completely different, so you didn't steal it :p)
I don't know how many people here ever played Magic: the Gathering, but in that game I used to always tell players that the lands (equivalent of pillars here) make the deck. What I meant by that was that getting the right quanta (in that game, mana) balance is crucial. As an extreme example, you wouldn't play six crimson dragons in a deck with two burning pillars, for instance. But in a duo, what is the right number of pendulums? At what point are quantum pillars best, and should you use pillars or pendulums with them? What mark should you pick?
Cards like these greatly increase the number of viable decks that can be built. It might not be obvious to some, but if these cards or similar ones made it into the game, it would revolutionize deck design. Right now, virtually all good decks are either mono, duo, or rainbow. Trios and quartets are few and far between, and often more for fun than for competitive play. There are some good trio decks, I'm sure, but for every good trio deck, there's a dozen or more good monos or duos.
Also, I like the art on those.
