These groups are the most prominent and thematic. Try naming a :gravity :darkness :water :time group. What are you gonna call it? Semicardinalquartmaterialspiritual Pillar?

I like them. :)

I'm just wondering in what deck I can play them... Maybe in a rainbow deck, and then you can use more quantas of some elements. I have hard time finding a quadraelement deck with the specific colors proposed. ^^

Or maybe just put 8/9 of them in a deck, and add good cards of the associated colors to it trying to have synergies and see.

Psh, those were just names made up by Zblader. iirc, the first theory of organization for the elements were in rings.

First ring: :fire :water :earth :air
Second ring: :gravity :light :time :life
Third ring: :entropy :darkness :aether :death

So really, you could just give a group a random name with no relation to any thematic concept.

Plus, you could always just do it the half-blood way...Chronumbraquagravitas Pillar :>

I like these.  When War is done, I want to start making card ideas, and one thing I wanted to do was a pillar series to improve deckbuilding possibilities.  (mine was completely different, so you didn't steal it :p)

I don't know how many people here ever played Magic: the Gathering, but in that game I used to always tell players that the lands (equivalent of pillars here) make the deck.  What I meant by that was that getting the right quanta (in that game, mana) balance is crucial.  As an extreme example, you wouldn't play six crimson dragons in a deck with two burning pillars, for instance.  But in a duo, what is the right number of pendulums?  At what point are quantum pillars best, and should you use pillars or pendulums with them?  What mark should you pick?

Cards like these greatly increase the number of viable decks that can be built.  It might not be obvious to some, but if these cards or similar ones made it into the game, it would revolutionize deck design.  Right now, virtually all good decks are either mono, duo, or rainbow.  Trios and quartets are few and far between, and often more for fun than for competitive play.  There are some good trio decks, I'm sure, but for every good trio deck, there's a dozen or more good monos or duos.

Also, I like the art on those.

I think the pendulums where a step in the right direction. But it still isn't good enough. pendulums only support duo decks. so I agree on this. We are in need of another quanta source that fits into trio or quatro- deck builds. Quantum pillars are insufficient because you waste more than half of quantas.
It's a good idea, I like it.

Zblader wasn't the first one to come up with those names, for the record. First person who used them in anything major was Bloodshadow, but I don't know if there was someone even before that. And they were the exact same elements as well.

What was your reasoning behind two quanta for each tower?

1/2 per element makes sense, since it should be between 1 and 1/3.

What is the mechanical reason for these sets of 4 instead of other sets? (This question has plagued all these types of cards since they were first suggested by Kael Hate)

Sidenote: The terms Material, Spiritual and Cardinal were coined by Bloodshadow a long time ago. They are being used correctly here.
