People seem to be inventing many spells which use all your
quanta at the moment, see this one, Fury | Berserk (
http://elementscommunity.org/forum/index.php/topic,36659.0.html) and Apocalypse | Apocalypse (
http://elementscommunity.org/forum/index.php/topic,17546.0.html) ... Anyway, this looks appealing, too.
Anyway, does it mean it'll increase cost of ability by 1 per use?
No it means the cost is one more than usual for those usages.
Well, why not? In my opinion, that would not make this card UP: Take a Lava Golem. If you have accumulated 75
, this spell, as suggested by you, would make it go +74|+74 immediately and permanently! Similar for every other Growth or Ablaze creature ... But if you take the normal skill cost and increase it by 1 per subsequent skill use, the bonus would be +22|+22 which is still enough given your opponent doesn't expect that (compare with Sky Blitz on a single Dragon which can give up to +15|+0 for a single turn at the cost of all
; well, most of the time, it'll be more than one Dragon). Paired with Mitosis,
one SoR (instead of 4) and Sky Blitz on a Silurian Dragon, a six card combo requiring 4
, 3
, 12
, 33
, 8
and 6
would suffice to emulate the Instosis OTK move.
A steam machine would make 7 uses out of 21 fire quanta, not including the cost of this spell.
So you specify that the
quanta is removed
after the effect has taken place. I'd make it the same way but just wanted to emphasize it.
A card like this would encourage the use of quanta heavy decks similar to Stone Skin, Drain Life and the Bolts, which is a good thing in my opinion.
