First of all, zanz doesn't like instant kill effects. Secondly, are you going to plan to create a series for this? Because the apocalypse may not end in fire you know.

I think the card is OP, but I disagree with your reasoning entirely. If an opponent gets punished for misplaying based on misreading the opponent's deck that isn't a sign that the card is OP, thats a sign that the player made a play mistake.

Yes, that is precisely what I'm saying. Another example would be something like Rain Of Fire. You can play around Rain Of Fire, but if you play into it and lose because of it its your fault. It doesn't make Rain Of Fire overpowered.

I don't think anyone would walk into a duel, and say, "Oh, I didn't know you had that one specific card. I guess that means I'm at fault here."

Besides. The fact remains that the card itself would be mainly used as a threat. By putting this in your deck, the opponent now has to give up one of the most important things. Setting up for the game in the beginning. If you take that from them, they've already lost. You either win using this card, or have a high chance of winning using this card. There is no counter if you use a rush with this at the core.

If you face an earth deck do you slowroll your pillars just in case the opponent has quicksands?  When facing a fire deck are you careful about how large a rush you put out at once? When facing opponents you should be ready for anything. Its not your fault for not knowing its in there, but it is your fault for knowing its possible and not playing accordingly.  Meanwhile, i disapprove of this card. The main reason being that it will usually be used in situations where it will do a little to you and a lot to your opponent. Reminds me of the "Black Hole" card in yu-gi-oh. It is suppose to be more balanced since it will effect both players, but I almost never used it when I had a creature on the field.
