EDIT on July 22, 2011:

PLEASE USE YOUR BRAIN AND THINK FOR A FEW MINUTES BEFORE YOU SAY THIS IS OVERPOWERED WITH FRACTAL. REALLY, HOW IS THIS MORE POWERFUL THAN JUST USING RAY OF LIGHT OR BALL LIGHTNING WITH FRACTAL NORMALLY?!

NOTES:
In the past, people believed that the fifth element ether filled the vacuum of space, and ether is the medium in which light waves travel through; thus they called it luminiferous ether. I've made this card to strengthen the :aether :light synergy.
The chances of this generating a Photon and a Spark are 50/50. It's random, you do not get to choose.

I like it, but the results could be devastating. When you actually get a Ball of Lightning.. you can Fractal it and bring out up to 45 damage. I think that's something that this game wants to avoid in any case. Although, I have to reiterate again that I like it. I want to play this card in a Rainbow deck more than Hope deck.

Oh, damn... Forgot about Fractal... Suggestions?

Don't think I have any.. anything that generate a Ball of Lightning within the Element of Aether is no good. Or simply, anything that generates a Ball of Lightning may simply prove no good unless the cost for generate was really high. But, even then, you may just be better off putting Balls of Lightning in your deck. So, again, don't think I have any great suggestions and this card may not be salvageable

Its times like these that I really hope that fractal is either nerfed or removed. As much as I love what it adds to the game, it makes card creation a pain in the butt.

Well, if you make it cheaper and only generate Ray of Lights.. that would seem good.  :)

But is it really that OP with Fractal? It can't be more OP than a normal Ball Lightning Fractal deck, because you've only got a limited number of Fractals. Most RoL-Hope decks fractal a Light Dragon in the end, so maybe this could replace the dragons.

I would say so. You can wait while generating more defense or a disturbingly strong offense in a Hope deck. When your opponent uses an Rain of Fire etc. you'll still have a chance of reestablishing defense and offense.

It's at times like this when I want Kael Hate to walk in with his awesome spreadsheet thing and see if it really is overpowered ;)

I don't think it's all that overpowered. Over 12 turns, it can generate an average of 6 Ball Lightnings. With 2 of these out, you can generate 6 Ball Lightnings in an average of 6 turns. That's pretty slow. Plus, it's pretty expensive. Why not just put Ball Lightning in your deck?

Meanwhile, one way to nerf it is to change the percentages for their generation. Say, 75% RoL, 25% Ball Lightning.

This plus some vultures, graveyards and bonewalls seems like a good deck.

this is pretty OP with fractal.  it can do in either a Rol-Hope deck or a Fractal-Spark deck.

RoL would be useless to spark deck but it gives hope another block AND if you get a spark late game with RoL you can fractal it for some quick nuke if you dont have enough for dragons.

Awesome idea, if i were you, i'd add this:

"consumes 4  :aether per turn"

i reckon that could balance it out a bit  :P
