I think this could be an interesting card if played in a water mono deck as it automatically generates quanta when you play it. I like the second one better because I thought it makes the water mono idea more viable as water itself doesn't have a way of providing a health buff and thus the upgraded one of the first version would be worse than the unupped version in a water mono. But I think both versions are pretty good if played in some sort of a duo.

Overall I like the second version best, but I think it will overshadow spark too much. Particularly the unupped version.

Its attack power should probably be dropped to 2 since it already has a fairly decent ability.

I think an in between is probably best.

Unupped: 2|0 stats, generates :water :water when played
Upped: 2|1 stats, generates :water when played and an additional :water after each turn

Also, given the role as a quanta producer, it is probably safe to make upped version cost :rainbow instead of :water

You are right, I considered Ball of Lightning but not spark, I'll decrese the cost for the unupped one

It's a good idea,I'm thinking about it.

To cost :rainbow should be an "other" card instead of :water beacuse of the mechanic of the game.

Nice card you got here. I like the 1st version better, i think OdinVanguard suggestions are perfectly fitting, but i would modify the upped like this:

Unupped (stays the same as OdinVanguard said):
2|0 stats, generates :water :water when played
Upped  (-1 HP, +1 ATK, i prefer this since Water has SoP anyway, and you can use the wave itself to power it):
3|0 stats, generates :water when played and an additional :water after each turn

Also agree on :rainbow cost for the upped.

Sidenotes: i like this concept, especially for its flavor, perfectly fitting.
And: THIS HAS BEEN MADE BEFORE!  :P

Now I like most the second one because it allow 2 different strategy for unupgraded and upgraded.

4/1 for 1  :water and generator seems too much op compared with damesfly, and IMO keep 2 different mechanic allow you to use them in 2 diffrent way at least :)

Given the changes made to SoP, I think this could work out pretty well
