Community Challenge : Duality's Legacy
Duality. A concept started by many, but shot down by many as well. Elementals, you are called here today to fulfill two goals - one, to complete a craft started by another thousands of years ago - two, the prove your creation the best out of all. This card designer challenge comes in the form of a
Community Challenge.
The
Blitz Vote system works like this :
- After a set time, all the submissions of the current "Round" will be gathered and will "fight" against each other using the Card Design War (
http://elementscommunity.org/forum/index.php/topic,23382.0.html) format. Cards will be paired up and voted on, and the winners move on to the next bracket. The winner of each Blitz Round will go on to be one of the participants in the final Blitz round, where all the finalists will be voted on.
- Some rounds will have special conditions set, to make things interesting and encourage thinking outside the box.
General Rules for All Rounds:You may only submit up to 1 submission each round.Explain why you think this card has the theme of duality/dual elements within it.Create your card on a
separate thread, and submit it here.Once an element combination is used, it will be placed on the chart below.During the brackets, the loosers of the first vote that receive very few votes will be eliminated. Cards eliminated are taken off the board.[/list]
Qualifications:Card must be balanced, have format and art.The card must be able to generate or interact with 2 quantum pools - 1 of it's own element, and 1 of another element.*You cannot resubmit a card used in a previous round.
* Note - the interaction of the two pools must occur at the same time.
Designer Tips:Scroll down a little, and you'll see a lot of resources that you can use to help get some ideas as well as make/get art. Avoid making a card that costs multiple elements.Just because it has to deal with two types of quantum doesn't necessarily mean it has to generate Elements X and Y.What kind of deck would this be good in? Is it able to create a new strategy? Make an example deck to show how this card could be used!

FAQsQ:
What does "The card must be able to generate or interact with 2 quantum pools." limit against?
A:
Activated abilities like "
: Web " don't count towards this requirement, but something like " 0 :Drain
to produce
." or "Generates
and
" would - to summarize, an abilty on the card must interact with two different elemental quantum pools at the
same time.
Be creative!
Q:
How are cards eliminated?
A:
The loosers of the first vote that receive less than half of the opposing card's votes will be eliminated from the chart. For example :
Card A is against Card B and Card C is against Card D.
Card A gets 2 votes, and Card B gets 6 votes.
Card C gets 4 votes, and Card D gets 5 votes.
Card A is eliminated.
Card C does not move further but is "locked in" on the chart. It's element combination can't be used again.
Card B and D move on in the brackets, until the winner is proclaimed. Like Card C, they are "locked in" and their element combination can't be used again in the following rounds.
