Slay:  Attacks any enemy creature with more than 8 attack.
ART:
Art by Flayne
IDEA:
Flayne
NOTES:
Basically, the unnupped attacks any creature on field that has more than 9 attacks, so it creates a mutual balance on the field.
However the upped costs more and only attacks the enemies creatures, a drastic improvement, worth its upping cost.
The order of attack is random.
say there are two enemy dragons with 10 atk, Slayer attacks any one of them every turn.

note that if there aren't any creatures above 9-8 attack, Hunter|Slayer just attacks opponents hp directly like normal until another creature with more than 9-8 attack comes in again.

Edit: Only Unnuped version, hunter: you play 2 hunters, and then you bless one of the hunters twice (+6, because 6 + 3 = 9 and its only for "over 9 attack" on unnuped) and it has 12, suddenly the hunter next to it kills the one with 12 attack.
this is because it attacks "any" creature that has over 9 attack, a mutual balancing.
This does NOT apply for the upgraded version "Slayer" since its "enemy" creatures.

If a sole Hunter in game (unnupped version) is blessed twice, having over 9 atk, it does NOT kill itself.

Another note: Immaterial Creatures should not be affected because of the same principle as "plague".
Plague does not require a target, it automatically poisons all creatures, yet immaterial creatures don't get poisoned.
I believe it should be the same for this card as it contains the same "non-target needed, auto" principle as plague.

Open to suggestions. :)

Interesting way of refining the concept in the Pre-Smithy thread and great use of your art Flayne. The upgrade seems pretty strong, but overall the card seems pretty well balanced.

Just wondering - Why did you choose  :light for this?
I chose light more so due to the upgraded one.
In a sense, a noble kingdom chooses to promote warriors accordingly.
This person was once a simple hunter, gathering big beasts with lots of meat for the King's Banquet.
Suddenly this person finds a REALLY BIG creature and kills it, earning his title as a "Slayer" and being a good addition in the King's military in the end, and thus earned their promotion.
in relation to Light  :light , A slayer in status would be like a Crusader, a knight. And so, before applying the card effects and functions, I decided that the name and concept fitted better in  :light,  thats how i imagined it anyway  :P .

Interesting way of refining the concept in the Pre-Smithy thread and great use of your art Flayne. The upgrade seems pretty strong, but overall the card seems pretty well balanced.
thanks  :), I was considering the costs of Miracle and archangel and considering the solar shield when making it.
I decided that it had to be an expensive one for such an effect,
also decided to make its upping cost more worth it and encouraging by shifting the attacking to the enemy side only, a strong upgrade indeed worth its upping cost  ;) .

btw, which concept? ^^;
Nice. Your adaption is a very significant improvement.
Thanks OT  ;)
But Hunter can die in the process of attacking, right?
as in get CC'd? its a normal creature that just simply attacks others on a condition, so a CC effect such as Maxwells demon can kill it normally, or fire bolt that does 6 damage scaled with :fire quanta, basically CC applys normally to it.

I think it's more : it can die in the same due to the same mecanisms of the "guard" ability?

Somehow, i don't see this fitting  :light at all.  :light Tends to itself and is ignorant of the ennemy's creatures/permanents/quanta/hand/deck/pretty much anything.

Also, before anyone else says so : wasn't there a GREAT debate on the putting of human looking humanoïds inside the game?

Great artwork though, and great card.

1) This is a very good point. Another element is warranted.

2) Yes there was. Crusader is not human because of it.

To be honest, I just used one of my old artworks randomly cause I had nothing else to put, since My laptop was stolen and now i dont have an efficient computer that is compatible with my graphics tablet, and drawing a humanoid with a mouse isn't exactly easy so yeah ^^;

The artwork is just a random choice out of my old works.

As for it being light,
I got the name from the middle age title of "dragon slayer", though I took out the "dragon" and it became slayer, slayer of beasts in other words.
Dragon slayers were often high in status like the knights/crusaders were in royal kingdoms, since  :light seems to represent the royal aspects of justice, I thought that Slayer really did fit :light , Justice against other "unholy" beings in the eyes of  :light .
So i thought that  :light would employ such a person.

however, if i do change the element, i am afraid this may affect the mechanics of the card,
and I seriously believed that  :light needed another good mid-high range hitter but applied with a condition.

If it is still disagreed, what other element would you propose?
(I shall put up a poll).

Death, Air, or Fire. In that order of choice for me.
a question to consider, how does it thematically fit in those?
and how does it mechanically fit those?
remember, i considered :light 's cards before making the effects, changing it to those may disbalance everything.

:air and :fire already have potential high damagers, eg. Airblitz + Wyrm and LavaDestroyer.
:death is more based on poisoning and decay, not direct damage.
