(Taken from Kuroaitou from the Design A Competition Competition)
Every person, every creature, every object has some sort of story behind it. Something that tells of how it came to be, why it came to be. Everything has an origin. But the Rare Weapons and the Nymphs seem to have spawned from no where!
Did Zanz discover the Nymph Queen while journeying through the Amazon? Maybe Titan was the mustache of an ancient giant? No one knows. But now you have a chance to let your ideas be heard! Create a short story of where you think the Nymphs or Rare Weapons came from. You don't have to come up with ideas for all of them. Maybe you just have an Idea for one, or a few of the weapons or nymphs. The choice is yours, and yours alone!Requirements:1. The story must be about one or more of either the Nymphs or the Rare Weapons found in-game.
2. All submissions must be between 250 and 1000 words. Novels are lovely, but a casual reader has to be able to connect to the story. Longer stories may result in a tl;dr(too long; didn't read) and overlooked.
3. All stories must be submitted directly into a post on this topic. Do not attach a word or notepad document of your story. Doing so will result in your story not being able to make it into the voting process.
4. Keep your story age appropriate for the forums. Keep violence to a minimum and refrain from any sexually suggestive material.
5. Please proofread your story. We know not everyone is a native English speaker, but the web is full of tools to help you. In fact, if you click here (http://www.spellcheck.net/speller/), you can input your story and this program will check it for any spelling errors.
6.A) Any plagiarism is grounds for an immediate disqualification from this competition, and possibly a ban from competing in future competitions.
6.B) In regards to Requirement 6, mythology is allowed to be used in your story.
7. Before you begin to write your story, go over the list of cards available to write stories about and reserve which one you want in a post. Cards that have been reserved cannot be written about unless you include at least one other card in your story.
8. Once you make a reservation, you cannot change it. So think long and hard about which card you want to write a story on if you plan to make a reservation.
9. Only one submission per person. What does winning this competition get you? A super awesome forum award icon and your story featured or linked on the respective card thread here on the forum!
Competition will run for 14 days!

Trident / Poseidon : Not ReservedAs there has been some slight confusion with Requirement 7, I'm going to try and explain it more in depth:There are two ways you can write a story:
1) Reserve a card and write about that card.
2) Don't reserve a card and write about 2 or more cards.
Option one means you pick a single card from the above list, and write a story about it. You can include any of the other cards on the list you want, but they cannot play a large part in your story. Your story is about your reserved card, not the other cards you include. Here is an example:
Zanz was traversing the Astral planes, watching the Phase Dragons soar through the air, and the Immortals crafting Lobotomizers. Suddenly, a massive rip in the space/time continuum sucked Zanz in and transported him to the world of Chaos. While there, he stumbled upon a lone creature who was crying. "What's wrong?" Zanz asked. The female creature turned around, revealing she was a nymph, and said, "All my friends won't play with me because I change their damage to healing." Zanz shook his head at the tragedy and offered the nymph to come along with him where he will make her power into something wonderful. That's the story of how the Purple Nymph came to the game.In the above story, the Purple Nymph is the main focus, but you can see Lobotomizer makes a small appearance.
Option two is very different. In exchange for not reserving a card from the list above, you get to write about multiple cards. But you cannot just include a card and give it a small part like the story in the example for Option one, you must give at least two cards a big part. Here is an example:
Air Nymph was one of the most feared nymphs for her unstable gas. It would cause such intense damage. But one day she decided she wasn't powerful enough. She was already reliant on fire quanta to activate her unstable gases, so she created Fahrenheit, a mighty weapon that attacks based on how much fire she had, from lava and special metal from the Gravity Elements. Fahrenheit soon become more fearsome than the Air Nymph and she grew jealous of her creation! She banished Fahrenheit away to an ancient Volcano where the Fire Elementals found it. The End.In the above story, the Air Nymph and Fahrenheit are the main focus, and both have a large part in the story.
I hope this helps clear up any confusion ^_^
