With the AI being improved so it isn't abuse-able anymore, and with new harder gods being put into circulation (Obliterator, for instance), I think that each week there should be different gods available.

Zanz would choose five to six false gods every week randomly (or maybe he could have themed weeks...) and we would have to live with playing only those five to six. If they were really hard ones, sucks for us. Then again they could be easy ones. If he did it randomly, I bet Zanz could even simply make a method to randomly choose five to six gods every week.

As it is, since there are *24* gods that are in circulation or will be in circulation, that's a LOT of decks you need to be able to counter. In fact, I would say it is darn near impossible to build a deck that can beat all 24 gods. Especially with the improved AI, and the new gods are actually pretty hard.

In addition, this would force you to make a new counter deck every week. Maybe one week you'll take out the firefly queen in your deck since it isn't needed, maybe another week you'll want to have three of them in your deck.

Basically, it would make farming gods easier (still probably not as easy as they used to be), and force you to adapt your deck. This means you wouldn't just be able to go on to the forum and find a deck and stick with it; you need to be smart enough to change it up yourself depending on the available gods.

And zanz should post which gods went into circulation each week so we could modify our decks

I think this is a great idea.  It gives more variation and helps with the deck-building aspect of the game which is always fun.  I think 6 is a good number.  And I think choosing randomly would be fun plus less hands on for Zanz since his time is better spent coding.

If zanz did it himself, then yes he could post them. But if it was just a method, we would have to figure it out for ourselves, and I think that could be pretty fun :).

I also agree that randomly choosing them would be better for the game.

I don't suppose we could use some of the user created God decks with Chriskang's xls?

I'm pretty sure that Zanz is using some of those decks as his new ones. I think Obliterator was in Chris's trainer.

(Then again, I never played Chris's trainer so I'm not sure).

I like this idea a lot PuppyChow.

As I posted in the development section, I too think fighting FGs will not at all pay off when there are 24 (AI-improved) FGs around and no "allround-rainbow" with sundial anymore on the other hand.

Creating "theme-weeks" of some kind would be one way to adress this problem.

Another way could be to divide those 24 gods into 3 divisions maybe, each of which will provide different challenges to the deck used against the FGs.

This is a very good idea. You could set up a script that did all this automatically.

Only downside is that with 6 Gods, you could do a perfect counter for one of them and then just keep restarting until you face that God. But maybe that's not a big deal.

And zanz should post which gods went into circulation each week so we could modify our decks
Why would we need that when we can see the Gods ourselves?

3 FGs a day https://elementscommunity.org/forum/index.php?topic=1546.msg22990#msg22990

Do you think it would be great, if you can fight only against 3 diffrent FGs a day.
I mean that you only have 3 diffrent ones you can battle again and again.
So the FGs grinding is not so luck based , which god you fight with, because there then are only three for you to fight with. So you can make a deck that is strong enough to beat thaz gods.
The Gods you can fight are changing every day with the oracle and the oracle shows you wich gods you can fight that day.

Any feedback?

It is a nice idea (it was said before, just that with 6 gods that change each week), but I think that maybe 3 gods is too little?

I've suggested this before (http://elementscommunity.org/forum/index.php/topic,1546.0.html (http://elementscommunity.org/forum/index.php/topic,1546.0.html)), but I also think that 3 gods is too little. People would just make decks that could beat 1-2 of them every time versus trying to find a deck to kill all 3. With 6 or so, you'd be forced to use a deck that could at least kill 2, and even then, you would probably prefer an even better deck.

Otherwise, I completely agree :).
