I'd just like to add that I really like this deck as well. At first it didn't seem too special to me but the denial that Discord/BH provides is just insane; making the opponents turns extremely short due to them not being able to play anything more than pillars is a very nice strategy. I'll probably end up swapping a crawler for an hourglass as well since I'm in love with them.  :P

why two abyss crawlers? wouldnt having two flesh recluses or phase spiders be more quanta efficient?

More quanta efficient? Yes (in the case of flesh recluses).  More efficient for score/win? No.  There is simply too much CC in AI3 for creatures with <4 hp to live on a reliable basis (lightning, momentumed otys, shockwaves, pandemonium run rampant).  Flesh recluses are close, but no way on phasies.  I will release numbers from a detailed study of several variants in the next couple of weeks when I am not too lazy to finish.  I am about 500 games away from full testing on about 200 variants.

If your worried about them dying, have you considered replacing pegasus with archangel?

Oh yeah.  I've tested that too.  If you name it, I've probably tested it.  The increased cost to play angels is not worth it in the long run.  Also, the ability of pegasi to dive means they will do much more damage if you can get them out a turn or two earlier.

i might switch the lava golem for two minor phoenixes, even though it makes it 31 cards, it makes little difference imo

always thought phoenixes were a waste, they take a card slot and only do 4 damage, as well as dying very frequently. Plus when all the games are under around, 10, lava golem usually does more. I always thought the 2 crawlers was for draw purposes.

The only thing about this is if the Monoaether can get up one phase shield, you're done, cause it dodges discord hits and has too many towers to suck up using only BHs. If I get frustrated enough, i add explosion, but it doesn't really help.

Not really. You have 4 Heals and any residual quanta to drain with Black Holes. It isn't that difficult to survive 3 turns when you have so much healing power available.

When facing the mono aether AI3 with this deck, I gear my entire strategy towards preventing him from getting 6 quanta.  If that means using a black hole unsupported by a discord, then so be it.  Oftentimes, I get a lucky draw and pull a discord afterwards.  Similarly, I find more often than not if a shield is already in play I can prevent the next one by using a black hole the turn before it expires.  Even with the additional shutdown most rush decks don't hold, this elder is still a pain in the ass, but the deck should outperform most others.

i would like to state that i like this deck. Though i run a variant for destroying shields/weapons, the EMs are just amazing.
this is my version of it:
Code: [Select]
6qq 6qq 6qq 6qq 6qq 6u3 6u3 6u3 6u3 6u3 6u3 6u5 6u5 6u5 713 713 74f 74f 77g 77g 7ai 7ai 7ai 7ai 7dm 7dq 7gm 7gm 7tf 80gIt's kind of helpful to know that if the AI plays a shield within 1 turn away from being killed, i can just remove the shield for the kill :)

but overall, i love it, thanks Kirch
