Round 3 : time's up !

Event : Malignant Cells !

Captain ! We're invaded by Malignant Cells ! They're infesting the Grid !Calm down, young soldier. We'll handle it as usual.But how ?I hired some players to take care of them.Players ? I heard they're expensive.Maybe, but we got Relics to offer...[/list]Special Rules : If you win, gain 2 Relics for each Malignant Cell in your picks (up to 6 Relics).

It's a little more complicated this time. In fact, this will be the most complicated event of Grid. But I'm sure you'll understand it well. As you can see, I replaced some 1xRelic slots with Malignant Cells.

When you pick a Malignant Cell slot, you can't pick the 8 slots around it. In other words, no slot in the 3x3 square which center is the Cell. In other words, no slot adjacent (even by a corner) to the Cell. In other words... I'll give some examples.

If you pick the J4 Cell slot, you can't pick slots I3, I4, I5, J3, J5, K3, K4, K5.
If you pick the A10 Cell slot, you can't pick slots A9, A11, B9, B10, B11.

The Cell slots will be filled by new cards next round. Be careful : the bonus will only be awarded if you follow the restrictions for all Cells you picks. If you don't, Cells count as 1x Relics.

Question on the event: if you select two Malignant cells which touch - I think the only relevant pair is (E10,F9) - do both count as one relic only regardless of other Grid picks?

If you pick E10 and F9, you're picking a Malignant Cell, and a slot adjacent to it -> the Cell rule isn't respected -> all Cells you pick are worth 1x Relic.

In order to convert Cells to 2x Relics, you have to follow the event rule for all Cells you pick. Otherwise, your Cells are worth 1x Relic.

Exactly. But picking A3, C6, F9 only (respecting the restrictions otherwise) is worth 6 Relics !

Not really, there is no healing and no buff cards either unless you upgrade the chaos seed. Also, Gyro can you add a list of the players with valid picks?

You can't use chaos seed+dune scorpion.
