ak65ala 3 - 1 kevkev60614

Very good games kevkev60614!!  Each was a struggle for both of us, and you did not let me have anything for free (besides all those silences :D ).  I'm so happy my bad luck did not plague me these games!  I think it was due to playing such a fat deck and not expecting to get 'ideal' draws.  It was refreshing to have such abstract games, due to the event of the round... we don't get to play such duels most days.

Greed is going to play a big role in this event... I can see that now.  Who is greedy enough, and when is too much?  Greater risk = greater reward.

Bingo.  kevkev drew no Owl's Eye, shockwaves and stoneskin slowed me, but I eventually punched through.

Game 2:Loss Turn 3 Owl's Eye and Diamond shield from kevkev.  Now comes the fun part.  about 20 turns of waiting for Dragons and Mitosis in hand, building life quanta.  4 Dragons, 3 mitosis, 120+ life quanta.  Hoping he only kills 2, think I can do it then.  Drop 4 dragons.  He kills 3.  Sigh.  Mitosis single dragon, breed.  He shockwaves, shoots my breeder... wow... had 5 shockwaves in hand.  mitosis lone dragon, keep breeding.  Got him down to 26 life, but 5-6 full stoneskins and all my breeders shot (had up to 4 dragons again at max) left me unable to kill him before deckout.

Games 3,4: Mindgated Breeders
Code: [Select]

Game 4: Win The reason I love mindgate.  kevkev went with a silence Eagle's Eye deck.  My heals kept my head above water from the overpowering Eagle's Eye, and I got to silence him, he silenced me.  Around 10 cards left for kevkev, he had me to 76 HP, meaning 2 shockwaves + Eagle's Eye would kill me before I decked him out.  Still had not drawn a dragon at this point.  He chained silenced me 5 times, making me worry... but I drew my dragon, chain silenced him back to keep my dragons alive and the swarm ate him with 3 cards to go.

Hurray for 10 relics!

kevkev 1 - ak 3

Greed struck me down.  Well actually ak struck me down, but solid deck selection on his part and greed on my part assisted.  I won the second game by getting a super early diamond and having five shockwaves in hand mid-game when he bursted.  Even with all that he had me down to within one turn of death before I topdecked stoneskin twice in my last nine cards.  No way I could win given our respective grid choices.  He just used the grid better than I did.  ggs, ak.

I apologize, I had technical issues so some of these decks may be 1-2 cards off from what I actually used.

One more shockwave or one more pillar early and I might have won with either 1 or 99 HP. Ah well.

Great match Kaker. I was fairly well countered for all three games, and RNG didn't help.

Kakerlake 3 - 0 ddevans96

1st: Win

ddevans won the toss, and started off with a single Pend. I started with 5 Pillars/Pends and a next turn Trident and a Dragon soon after. Without any quanta production all ddevans could do was play a Spider every third turn. The game took quite a while since I didn't get any more Dragons.
RNG was trolling ddevans pretty bad. He stayed at 3 :air most of the game, when he only needed 4 to kill my sole dragon. And when he was finally down to one health, he was able to double shockwave my dragon.

2nd: Win

Haxxshield > Sanctuary.
The draws were pretty average for both of us. Early haxxshield vs. early Sanctuary was epic, but my dragons were always there to hit over the healing while his crawlers weren't doing much and one sole dragon of his was shocked. Didn't get a Blitz, so it was a simple beat down.

3rd: Win

Great starting hand for both of us with plenty Pillars, though the Tridents were hiding somewhere at the bottom of my deck as did his Shockwaves. So it just a simple Ice Dragon vs. Gold Dragon beat down. Ice won.
