SteppingStone81 3-1 ddevans96Great match, ddevans - a pleasure to play against creative decks (i.e., not GotP-nightmare)!

First game I brought cloaks and LS to protect against the annoying rewinds in a GotP nightmare deck. I got a great draw of pillars / pends and dragons + 1 dusk mantle. Opponent got a weaker draw, so I knew I would be able to outrush accelerating voodoo dolls (didn't see any darkness or gravity CC in ddevans' available grid choices). I refrained from using LS or cloak this match.

Knowing that accelerating voodoo and GotP-nightmare could coexist in a set of grid choices this round, I expected the boring GotP-nightmare. I had tested against GotP-nightmare with ~75-80% win rate, so I was confident. But then I saw a
mark and I was like
. I got a 1 pillar, 0 pend draw, so it wouldn't have mattered what he was playing, but he played a nice FFQ / azure dragon / hope deck. I LS'd one FFQ, but with no pendula, I was quickly overwhelmed.

ddevans tried a Steam Machine / lobo deck this round, but I had removed the cloaks from my deck, maxed out LS to lobotomize FFQs, and added more pendula to ensure the
quanta to play the LS. The LS handled his first four steam machines, and though he deflagged my dusk mantle, I eventually got the
quanta to beat him down with azure dragons.

I went with the same deck as Game 3, expecting to play against FFQ / azure dragon / hope once more. This time, I drew plenty of pendula and was able to LS each FFQ as soon as he played it. My dusk mantle haxxed pretty hard, and my azure dragons gleefully ripped him limb from limb.
Best of luck in the rest of this event, ddevans!
