I wait until I get over 2000 electrum before upgrading a card.  Now with free mark change its less necessary, but I'm in the habit of doing it.

And I have never reset my account.  I really liked the Earth/Gravity theme to begin with.
Also, I never sell an upgraded card until I have more than 6.  You never know when the next metagame shift will make a previously "worthless" card the new phenomenon.

Never reset because for better or for worse whenever i play a game i research guides and how to make my playing easier and more expedient. Course that doesn't make me innovative but it does save time and it made my startup pretty smooth.

I only know people who have reset because they thought that made a poor choice in the rare weapon they chose. If you're losing enough to the FGs to lose all your money (unless you upgrade a card then have like 32 electrum remaining), you probably shouldn't fight them in the first place. The best bet is definitely to keep some reserve of electrum. I personally keep a large bank (about 36000 right now), but a reasonable level is just a few hundred, so you can drop down to AI3 to get some money when you're low.

You can always beat a lvl 1, then a lvl 2, then a lvl 3 etc...

It's easy to get frustrated and want to reset, but it's usually the wrong choice. Farming from the bottom works just as well, and I had to do that a few times back when I started.

If you are losing most of your fights, why play FGs? Level threes can statistically make more money, more reliably(from what I've heard). With all these nerfs on the rainbow, many decks winning percentage have also been nerfed considerably. RoL/hope, one the best FG decks out their right now, doesn't even  work on some of the gods. And if that you don't have a chance to win against FGs, why fight them?

Never.
I always keep the cards I won from FG, then when I'm in a bankruptcy, I sell the ones that I don't need, then go farm t50 for awhile, then back to FG
