I'm assuming the only way to kill False Gods reasonably is upgraded cards?

Forgive me if this shouldn't be in the False Gods section, to start. I've killed one False God and fought all of them at least once. The one that I killed Ferox with a stalling deck that I still use and I was wondering if it was just because Ferox is weak compared to others or if I just got lucky. If more than a few upgraded cards are necessary, how would one go about getting that many, as I only have 2?

I'll suggest what Higs suggested me: up Photons and start with RoL/Hope. It works at 6 ups, and arguably only requires 26 ups in total. It only needs a few lobos. If you've farmed Bronze and have a few Shard of Patience, then you can try New Old Times, which can work well with unupped Hopes and Mind Flayers

Well, an alternate route than what serprex suggested (and the one that I'd recommend) would be upgrading the 3 cards needed to make Limitless Speed and then using that to farm until you can get the money for PDials.

Limitless Speed beats more False Gods more consistently than RoL/Hope does.

PDials beats more False Gods more consistently than any other FG grinder (including New Old Times).

I personally feel like this is a better route and will pay off in the long run, seeing as PDials is also the most efficient Gold grinder and second most efficient Platinum grinder.

You forgot to mention that not only cash is needed to build Pdials, but also some shards, thus grindind arena is also a must (or at least highly recommeded).

It's funny because I find most plat decks fit counters for PDials, so whenever I do venture into Plat I find better luck with New Old Times. But YMMV, and Beef's route works as well. PDials is the undeniable FG farmer

Yeah, and PDials gets lots of elemental masteries so you get lots of electrum which is good while (unless I'm wrong) New Old Times mod cannot do in Plat.  But New Old Times mod is good too.

This is the path I took

PvP1 -> Limitless with 3 ups -> Limitless with 30 ups -> SoFoBow for silver (good ol' 6 SoFos) -> PDials and later Swallow for Gold and FGs -> get bored with arena and start playing PvP events/wait for 1.4

That can be very misleading. Even though that is the path you took, by posting it here, it implies that you would recommend that path to this person. Seeing as SoFos aren't anymore, a Rainbow wouldn't be good for farming FGs efficiently.

It'll be very hard to make an unupped deck for beating all false gods.  However, if you use your oracle prediction wisely, you can construct an unupped deck that will beat one specific false god with fairly good odds.  For instance, if you get Serket as your oracle predicted FG of the day, basically any unupped deck with 6 wings will completely destroy him, because he has no damage sources that get through wings.  Check out the strategy subforum of the FG section of the forums.

  Hopefully I'm not off topic, but for silver I used the Bone Collector with great results.  I also used Chaos Wyrms but was surprisingly less effective than the Collector.  And yeah, cause shards now have their own element a SoFoBow is not a good deck for farming silver.
