How about weight it against total card ideas. As it is now, this list is an accurate ranking of who posts a lot of cards.. (in descending order)

I'm generally opposed to ranking systems (especially one like this) being weighted across number of cards posted, since if people care about their rank, it discourages them from posting ideas they're unsure of.  If you're worried about volume dominating quality, just set the bar a little higher for a card to earn any points at all, I would say.

The only thing I think these rankings had any weight in was for OT's consideration of members for the idea factory (currently non-existent) and personal pride. I don't mind seeing the rankings go.

Clarification:
Gaining points in the CDR was a means that a member could gain access to the Idea Factory without being handpicked by the Idea Guru. I felt that a backdoor was a necessary safeguard against the Idea Guru and insisted on a backdoor as a prerequisite to accepting the Idea Guru position*.

*I was able to make an insistence because SG wanted to fold my unofficial Communal Card Creation group into an official IdeaFactory subforum.

If the Idea Factory is ever revitalized, then I would urge that a backdoor exist. Until then, the CDR only serves as a personal pride metric.
