Ok, first off, stop me now if this has already been done / discussed. If not, then I think this could be a very nice way to help support trio and quartet type decks (especially if hybrid marks are added as well).
The easiest way to start this off is with an example:
For a list of currently developed hybrid marks (all 66) and hybrid card backgrounds (still in progress) see:

http://elementscommunity.org/forum/index.php/topic,46772.0.htmlSo essentially, just combine the pendulum and hybrid mark ideas.
There would be 66 hybrid pendulums total, 1 for each of the 66 hybrid psuedo-elements.
The generation would be implemented as a normal pendulum except when generating "hybrid quanta" basically just means generating one of the two component quanta.
E.g. "diseric" would produce either one
or one
on the first turn, then mark quanta on the next, etc.
This would greatly enhance quanta production stability of a trio or quartet deck since it would reduce the number of different cards a player needs to draw in order to generate the quanta they need.
Hybrid marks woud work similarly, producing one of their two quanta types each turn.
Hybrid marks and pendulums could also make a nice leadin for booster packs, new quest lines, etc.
E.g.
Enabling hybrid marks could make for a fun quest. maybe something like kill X half-bloods in a row.
Hybrid pendulums could make a nice starter series for "booster packs"... but I digress
With hybrid pendulums plus hybrid marks, you could easily power quartets using just 1 hybrid pendulum type plus a hybrid mark. Or you could mix and match among the various pendulum combinations if some elements are needed more heavily than others.
