This idea was brought up by a friend of mine, whom is not as active in the community (
Rockykid19).
This is a community project, which means the final project will be finished when the people of the community have agreed to a certain extent with one another.
Understandably, people believe creatures do not have emotion, but I think that it is more that they do not have feeling. If there were to be some form of the following idea set in place, the game would turn in a new direction.
The names for each of these cards are based off of Plutchik's Wheel (below):
Plutchik believed that the eight primary emotions were as follows:
- Joy
- Trust
- Fear
- Surprise
- Sadness
- Disgust
- Anger
- Anticipation
Dictionary definitions of each:
Joy: the emotion of great delight or happiness caused by something exceptionally good or satisfying; keen pleasure; elation
Trust: reliance on the integrity, strength, ability, surety, etc., of a person or thing; confidence
Fear: a distressing emotion aroused by impending danger, evil, pain, etc., whether the threat is real or imagined; the feeling or condition of being afraid
Surprise: to strike or occur to with a sudden feeling of wonder or astonishment, as through unexpectedness
Sadness: affected by unhappiness or grief; sorrowful or mournful
Disgust: to cause loathing or nausea in
Anger: a strong feeling of displeasure and belligerence aroused by a wrong; wrath; ire
Anticipation: the act of anticipating or the state of being anticipated
Below are tables for the cards. Over time these tables will be modified to appreciate the community's suggestions.
