    water has squids. time pharoahs and light miracle (which i agrre should be a life card.) Why do you suppose we haven"t seen this series of non cycle rares continue to the other colors. also if you were to create these rarees what would you create?
    While it's true that we don't see more rare spells or creatures, at the least we do have a set of 12 rare weapons which in my opinion make the game more interesting and diversify decks.

    If rare cards haven't been released I don't quite frankly think it was because of omniscient design, that is to say, I don't think there is any reason for not releasing rares. I believe that if the Lead Developer, zanzarino had more time on his hands and more ideas that he liked, it would benefit the game to release something like 2 common cards and 1 rare card, each of 3 different elements per month, such that by the end of the 12 months, each element would have 3 more cards.

    If I were to create some rare cards, I have quite a few from which to pick (my Portfolio), but I think some of the options would serve better than others. I think the following would make great choices:
    But of course, these are just some of the ideas I had that could possibly be rares, I'm sure I could try to specifically design rares for each element. Hope this helps!



    I had a couple of card ideas...

    Verve | Moxie seems like a great idea for :life. It's a type of invigorating energy coming from the element that should do it best, :life Life. The card as you presented it however seems a little on the weak side as it will be doing more damage to you than good, the following are other possible designs:


    Spoiler for Design 1:
    Verve | Moxie: 5|4 :life Spell
    Target player plays play their hand next turn. Any unavailable quanta is taken from their maximum health. (not written: 1 quanta/1HP)
    Spoiler for Design 2:
    Verve | Moxie: 3|2 :life Spell
    Opponent plays their hand for free. You heal HP equal to 2 times the total quanta cost saved by the opponent.


    Ruse | Gambit on the other hand will run into some problems. Firstly, you have to be able to fit the description into this Card Designing tool designed by Xenocidius. The current description has no hope of fitting. We'd have to redesign it.

    It could just be the following:
    Ruse | Gambit 4|3 :darkness Spell
    Swap hands and quanta pools with the opponent at the end of your turn. Lasts 1 full turn.

    The above removes some complicated clauses and still keeps the essence of the card, while keeping its initial power. By swapping at the end of your turn you get to do as much as you can with your hand and in the way you want before switching. The card has a lot of potential.

    Hey, I remember your comments on Windswept. Do you still believe that PC for Air needs a better tie-in to air (such as requiring Airborne creatures)?

    While the generator has been done in other similar ways before, I think it's a good idea that expands the quanta-generating boundaries of the game. Having said that, I think that it may be a little too early to be suggesting a card that is very similar to a card already in the Crucible. While the game should be expanding, it has not yet reached the point that cards that differ in the slightest way should exist, and I hope it never does.

    The Dragon Riders are pretty cool! Some have tried to make categories for creatures before, and the Dragon category is definitely a classic, especially in this game. If you'd like to make an innovative card idea, it seems like you're on the right path with this one. I generally advise against Elemental Series as they tend to lose thematic sense and I've seen that they don't collectively fare well in the Smithy. Inspired by your concept and being slightly biased towards :air Air I've come up with a "Chimera" type card which unifies the element of :air Air with the Dragons that majestically soar through it.

    Dragonrider | Dragonrider

    In this type of a card, one unifies the Dragons in the element of :air Air and provides interesting material for Sky Blitz. Maybe your card could be something similar? Or even the version I suggested?

    The Firebug Queen on the other hand disturbs me a little, mainly because I don't think every element needs something that generates bugs. Though I do like the connection you find between the Ash Eaters and Ash, maybe you could suggest a card involving Ash that further expands this connection.

    Tornado is marvelous, and if I may add, brilliant. And I do still believe that every card added should be thematically relevant, so yes, my belief still holds, however you've mirrored the path of a Tornado whipping everything around in a perfect way. I'd love to continue my admiration for it in its thread however.
