Works well on AI3 and below and PVP1. It's hit and miss on PVP2 and T50, depending on the deck.
What I want to know is can it be beefed up to take on FGs? At the moment I'm getting blitzed to death over and over, so I want to know if I can fix this deck, or need an entirely new idea.

It looks like a solid deck!
But since you only have 4 scorpions, you might find yourself unable to do enough damage and get outrushed.
I suggest putting in 2 more scorpions.

For AI3 and PvP1 it indeed looks fine. Against FG you need a lot more stalling because fights are generally going to last longer.
For a first idea, it can be a good idea to look at what other people have already made. In the (uppgraded) FG-deck section are some dune scorpion based decks:
dune scorps killing FG's:

Eternal chaos:

A slow and painful death:

(If I missed one... sorry)

Generally I'd say eternity is your best card for creature control. Turtle shield can also help you slow down your enemy. However, every enemy creature will have the chance to attack at least once. That's why you will most likely need some kind of healing such as Shard of Gratitude or Anitmatter or Miracle/etc. (Which work a lot better upped. Especially SoG :P Means that would cost quite a bit of money)
The rest is up to you. You could also use otyguhs for CC or chaos power if you want to use antimatter. Or a lot of other stuff. Depends on your personal preference and a lot of testing.
One last thing: Before building a FG-deck on your own and starting to upgrade the cards needed, be sure to test it in the trainer, and not only 2 or 3 games. Not many things are worse than spending a hell lot of money for a deck that doesn't work the way it should.

@Wonder. I'll give it a try.

@The Grim Reaper. It's all great and stuff linking me to upped decks and telling me to use cards that don't work unupped, but do you think if I could afford them I'd be playing unupped?
Those decks are really good, but they are no use to me.

I didn't mean to say that you should use one of the upgraded decks (I actually find nothing more boring than copying the deck of someone else. Where is the fun there?). I chose those upgraded decks because I couldn't find any unupped neurotoxin FG-decks. As I said, I'd only use existing decks to get an idea for the direction you might want to go.
The only thing I wanted to say is that many cards working well with this deck are a lot better upgraded. SoG's obviously only work upgraded. But antimatter for example can work unupped. However, it costs 2 quanta more (I think) and that often makes the difference in an FG-deck because you might not be able to play it fast enough. Sanctuary is a new light card that could be used for healing. And light also has blessing and other stuff. There are many possibilities for both upped and non-upped cards. But you know, all I wanted to say is that, in an anti-FG deck, a few upped or non-upped cards can make quite a big difference. For some cards it doesn't matter much, but for others it does.
I guess I didn't make myself quite clear in my first post, sorry for that.

I've been consider Dune Scorpions decks, and I recently saw a Duo with Ghost of the Past and Nightmare that looked pretty interesting...

Ah, here it is: http://elementscommunity.org/forum/index.php/topic,22411.0.html

GoTP is a good damage card as well, worth the price not only for its passive but also for its high health and damage. Anyway, combined with more of a Duo-style deck splashed with Novas, I can see an unuppd version working as well. I'd like to try it as I have 6 Nightmares sitting around but I haven't splurged for the Ghosts yet.
