Hello everyone. I'm hobohawk and I have just started Elements. I heard about the RoL-Hope deck and am collecting cash for it by farming Lv. 3 AI with a mono-life rush deck. I have roughly 3500 electrum.
And now, my questions. What would be the best way to farm Arena for Lobotomizers. I seem to have met a large amount of mono-aether decks that hide behind their shields in bronze. With my mono-life, I've reached a 6 win streak and am 11-6. 5 of those losses are to mono-aether decks. Any suggestions on what to do? Maybe a mono-dark with a lot of steals? Thanks in advance.

Mono-life deck is:

13x  :life Pillar
6x Horned Frog
5x Adrenaline
5x Cockatrice
1x Druidic Staff

You should definitely pack some kind of permanent control when wading in bronze. Way too many mono aethers there.

Well, if you want to beat dimensional shield specifically, there's a few possibilities:

-Poison.  Creatures and Arsenic will be blocked by the shield, but if they can get some poison on the opponent first, it will continue to damage them.  Also, the cards Poison and Chrysaora (and upped versions) will work even if they have a shield up.

-Permanent removal.  Deflagration, steal, pulverizer, or butterfly effect.  (or a very lucky mutant)  Any of these will destroy the shield.

-Momentum.  Titan, Sapphire Charger, and the card Momentum will get you through any shield

-Direct Damage.  Fire bolts, Ice bolts, Drain Life, etc, will hurt any opponent unless they have emerald or mirror shield.  The disadvantage is that these don't do a lot of damage, so you'll either need a ton of quanta/bolt cards, or you'll need to do some serious damage in another way, and just rely on these as a finisher.

Another trick you could do is use a deck something like ninetyfools posted, where you simply try to stay alive long enough that you can outwait all of the dimensional shields.  A deck with breeding cards like mitosis, firefly queen, or pharaoh, and then empathic bonds can keep you alive for some time if you get set up right.

I have a fully upgraded poison deck that works extremely well in bronze, but I don't really think it would work well unupped.  Permanent removal, particularly pulverizer, is an excellent option.  I haven't tried the other options I suggested to farm bronze, but done right, I think they have a good chance against monoaether.

You could just splash a couple Steals into your deck if you don't want to spend too much. I'd say change your mark to Darkness, take out a pillar and a cock and add two steals.

Its hard to win 6 in a row for me just simply due to bad draws once in 6 games. Even so, I manage to do so most of the time. I threw a Chimera in my deck specifically for Dimensional Shield, and it works quite well. Just make your mark :gravity if you do that (or use :darkness and Steal, either way).

EDIT: Fixed a silly mistake that I guess noone else caught anyway. :p

Unupped mono dark lacks the speed to do well consistantly in arena but i think cloaked adrenavamps might do well?

Not very expensive and can win against mono aether w/o problems.
You can try switching a deflag for a steal.

Fire stall can deck out mono aether or just destroy their dimensional shields or the fire shield can kill of the immortals and phase dragons.

Or you can create a gravity-earth deck with momentum and pulverizer which would work but probably not consistenly because of no healing unless you had stone skin.
Firestall FTW!
